This decision is baffling to put it lightly.

Sure, ditch the sentinels...

Recombinators? I sort of viewed them as "loot 2.0" or whatever that means. It gave the seemingly limitless rares on the ground value and opened up a lot of build potential. I crafted nearly my entire setup myself and felt very proud of what I had created.

Furthermore, it introduced people to crafting that may have otherwise ignored that side of the game, opting to instead purchase items that somewhat fit their needs.

It's just weird, man. Weird.

This was one of the best defenses of recombinators.

Identifying more rares on the ground made it feel like a normal game for a league.

When I looked at my own gear, the 4 pieces that I crafted myself meant a lot more to me than the ones I bought on the trade website. For non-meta builds recombinators fixed the lack of items for trade they had.

Never had as much fun as this league and now the recombinators that made that possible are gone with a message saying maybe we will bring back the fun one day.

All we can do is hope that something on par or better comes along.

I might be huffing copium in overdose quantities but I'd like to think that GGG understands that more player agency in the crafting process is what has made certain leagues so popular. I'd go even further and say it's the pride of ownership. This latter point is something that a small portion of the player base experiences each league -- something gated behind excessive hours of grinding and group effort. A luxury most don't have...

I must say, I found a certain joy in knowing that some items I made were out in the wild. Maybe it's best that it is few and far between? Maybe if this were normalized that it would become vapid and lose the appeal.

Who knows when we'll see those spicy Recombinators again? We'll just have to wait and see what this next Torment, Talisman and Rogue Exile league brings, eh?

Take care, Exile :)

Many mechanics in the game...I hope PoE won't last so much with it.
Finally !!

Good call GGG !!!!

Dont pay attention to whine this is best decision for the game

Recomb is broken , 3ple fracture items or +2 charge rings shouldnt exist

Respect
Your strength is the law !!

MadG poe on youtube for mellee content
So Recombinators go, meaning Harvest stays. ( I hope harvest will have drastic changes than.)
I hope that they'll really come back with changes, as functionality of those added more value to dropped/crafted items than any other mechanic that tryed so.
Back to picking only couple of needed bases i suppose, and hitting that harvest one hand bandit till you burn out of doing so for what is it 2 years already?. (Especially with high % rates that players can get now).

bad decision, then again GGG will never give us a way to craft items (however, metacrafting and rog still exist ?XD)

Unless you grind your life away in delve where u can in theory craft (based on luck) tripple charge precursor emblems by combining 3of the same type. I have seen 1with tripple "+%accuracy per frenzy charge" mod on it. So its definitely possible to hit tripple +1 max frenzy charge too for example
Hopefully, we're not going back to either rocket-science crafting (using third-party sites to study) or spamming currency over and over again.

I love this game as a casual fulltime working old guy. And personaly i need easy understandable ways to craft semi good gear.
Huge disappointment. Will be considering strongly whether or not I even want to play the game without them. They were such an amazing step forward for crafting and basic economy. They allowed players to compete with the complete ownership of the market by big teams such as TFT's crafting team. Making so many rare bases valuable is something the game needed. Now we're back to most everything being worthless again... Yeah I'm not sure I want to.
