What Happened with Items
Nothing new, if something in this game is overpowered, ggg will nerf it to the ground. It was always like that. If you have screen overflowing with loot from juiced map, and picking it up take longer then map clearing, it obvious that it will be nerf sooner or later. So why quit and drama now?
Previous nerfs hit hard and block progress for more casual players like me. And when i complain, poe elitist ridiculed me: "stop crying and adapt" "this game is difficult, maybe not for you" etc. Now when nerf affect top players ability to progress, they crying. So learn and adapt, this game supposed to be hard and challenging back at you. Good luck!

As a player your philosophy is pointless to me. What matters to me is that when I play the game cool shit happens. Wether that is drops or being able to crafting something amazing and show it off.
You seem to be missing this as the point of why many of us play. It's not all this noise that is constantly told to us about your ideology. Please focus on making cool things happen when we play the game. Stop trying to force us to eat our vegetables so that you feel your philosophy is being met. |

After reading this post multiple times and taking your recent messages and interviews into account I come to a single conclusion and I don't like it.
You need a break Chris. You have been doing this for over a decade without much time off for yourself to clear your mind. We all know how much you love Path of Exile and everything around it, how much blood, sweat and tears you put into it. But this post in particular sounds like you are lost and angry with yourself.. You have been GGG's face and voice for so many years, maybe it's time to let loose for a little bit. GGG will be able to manage, you have some of the most talented people in the world behind you. Clear your mind and play some Path of Exile for once! You more then earned it. |

hello Chris, I know the backlash from the community is hard to accept. You did take your responsibilities in your hands wich is a good start, but the loot for regular players is NOT okay. Please take some time to read what regular players have to say, and don't look at one case where a group makes mirrors a day or a rare that drops 50 divines. This is not happening to everyone, in fact itight happen once or twice in the whole league.

So reading through this fells pretty nice. BUT to prefend fuckups like that you should let Creaters like Gazzy or Path of Math playtest Leagues befor release. I am pretty sure they would do that and would give honest feedback.

I played 70+ hours this league, not a single divine dropped from a monster (got one from ritual and one is still sitting on Tujen (don't have enough artifacts to claim it atm, since I didn't put any atlas points on expedition)). While I had 3 exalts pop on during this time. If a player, without juicing too much in maps - can't drop a divine orb in more than 70h - then the loot reward system is atrocious.
And fix minion life, zombies and spectres are dying to blue monsters on t16 (most nodes on passive tree that give regen and minion life are already taken). It's frustrating and tedious to keep re-summoning spectres after every other archnem pack. |

Hey Chris thanks for writing this post,
unfortunately drops are nowhere near satisfying, the high end and what is possible (like 50 divines from 1 mob) is not interesting nor interactive, will never happen to anyone outside of highlight videos, its spamming maps in search for that one randomly rolled 4-mod AN mob, while struggling to sustain alchs. How do you explain that 90% of the community spams Expedition, Legion, Heist and Essences? Well thats because they have guaranteed Rewards in CHESTS or are unaffected by quant all together. When i started farming in red maps i couldnt even sustain Singular Focus with all fav slots, all voidstones and everything map related allocated on the tree i had to buy a huge amount to even be able to keep going for a while. The thing about POE is that juicing was always the fun part that made you more currency than it cost, so the community figured out ways and farming strategies. This feels completely dead rn everything (apart from the mentioned above) there is no point in juicing your maps if these rewards stay the way they are right now. Why would anyone with nerfed gear and nerfed crafting want to encounter the huge difficulty, some of the league mechanics like Delirium add, with next to no additional return. I really hope you rethink or better REVERT these changes. Loot was always a staple sth you could rely on being good, well it now isnt. Some game director once said: "if we destroy loot we'll kill the game in days" well thats whats happening |
