I don't understand why are you doing this ??? You guys really want a new player base is that it ? And you have been removing comment I can tell. One of the removed posts was mine, and it contained screenshot of how many people are selling your new pet Goblin Harvest :) Now you gonna feel the wrath of Steam players. Enjoy the backlash again GGG. At 5,812 Steam hours I never tough you will once again make me wanna quit your game for the 4th fucking time.
Harvest's crafting potential without being gated by rarity is just too high.

Are you out of your mind?! It's called CRAFTING for a reason. It's not called GAMBLING.
The casual player will never use this "crafting" system. They will never have the disposable currency to "craft" end-game items.
Stop trying to balance a game's loot, crafting, and game play around the streamers that make their living playing the game.
Wasn't the beginning of this league enough to demonstrate how badly you're performing??
Fix your mindset, GGG. You're wrong.
No idea if anyone at GGG is gunna make it to page 90+ of this thread, but on the off chance someone is...

This is my second and probably last offer, but you should hire me to fix all this stuff for ya.

Last time on "You Should Hire Me...":
I specifically mentioned that one of the biggest things that needed to happen to improve the longevity of this game was a complete rework of all the uniques in the game, especially those more legacy and outdated. And while I'm sure that wasn't particularly a hot take, I also don't think it was on very many people's "top 1 things that should be fixed with PoE right now" list.

And I'm glad to see someone around there put that idea into action eventually. I can forgive the time gap, cause I know how development cycles go. We're nearly never seeing what's needed "NOW" we're seeing content that's been in the works for a bit now, while your team's resources are part devoted to evermore future endeavors with things like PoE 2 or future leagues. Though, what I cannot forgive, is the implementation being a bit lack luster.

And this is something you really shouldn't skimp on. These are literally dozens of iconic items that players have come to know, love, and hate as they fell out of use and got left behind in the wake of power creep. Some of the reworks are okay, but more are more meh than their originals. These items deserve better than this, and PoE1 deserves a better send-off than this.

My terms are agreeable, I'm affordable, and worst case scenario...
If everything gets ruined, you can just blame it all on me and fire me. ;D
Always nice to have a good scapegoat! (Though for a lot of the people posting here, I think they'd have a hard time believing it could get "more ruined" than it already is. I think a lot of the sane people know it's not that terrible, but also agree it's not great. But still, I don't feel like you have a ton to lose here.)

Anyway, slide up in these DM's if you'd like, but this is the last time I'll offer it. ;p

Also, I feel like I should add this for clarity's sake, in some respects, I feel like you know exactly what you're doing. And I'm not going to be specific here, I don't wanna "ruin the magic" but I get it. I get one of the game's you're playing here, and I'm totally okay with that, but please, I know the uniques aren't a part of that and that's a big tragedy. Also, I don't think the uniques are the only problem, but I trust the other stuff will be less significant in the long run.

Maybe AN is good or loot is "in the right place" in your tools. I don't know. But what I know is that result is horrible. I appreciate GGG's effort to work on fixes each day, I know the effort needed. Unfortunately, all this didn't change anything for me, as a player.

The game lost all his fun, all his magic. The progression is so slow that is feeling inexistent. I lack resources and I can't care less about that maybe, one day, I will meet a generous goblin. I need to do permanent mental gymnastic to stay alive on the map, or for finding a way to craft a little better gear (and I really don't care about closing my eyes and slamming my gear with an exalt because I can't drop the exalts and even if I get that ex, I know that my chances are 99.9% to break my item - not fun at all). And so on ...

I'm feeling mentally exhausted, without any fun or joy. I want to play the game, I really want but almost every time when I land my hand to open it, I'm giving up in loading screen. And even if I open the game, I'm playing few maps until I became annoyed, frustrated and I'm closing the game disappointed.

The people are tired: tired by the game, tired by being ignored, tired by you trying to convince us that you know better what we are feeling playing this game, tired by spending hours and hours for a "I gain nothing" feeling.
People aren't leaving the league because they are spoiled and unable to adapt on some more harsh conditions, neither to punish GGG because they didn't get the "candy" wanted. People are living because they are tired by your game. And the worst part is that all of this are reflecting over PoE2, people starting to be tired for a game that doesn't even exist yet.

Keep your AN, keep your loot, keep your Harvest, keep whatever you want from your Vision, but give the fun back to the people. And keep in mind that the "fun" notion is defined by the community - not by your vision, nor the 0.1% top players, nor the 1% that love hard games and play HC.

So, for example, if community is asking for "loot explosion/deterministic crafting/...", stop explaining how this is impossible because of the vision, and start to work on finding a way to make place for this loot explosion/deterministic crafting/... in your vision!

And to answer to your question about what is missing in the mechanics: fun, the fun is missing, along with any other possible positive feeling.
Game is way too punishing. Not challenging! Punishing. As for being rewarding that is a very loooooooong debate.
As we mentioned in our last post, some players have noted that they'd prefer item drops to have lower variance - i.e. fewer big spikes of valuable rewards with the rewards averaged out across more encounters. This is something we're still discussing. ,

<- guessing this mean's yet more loot nerfs just fucking remove AN
I've been playing since 1.0, have played a lot of both trade and ssf, and this is the first time I have been this disillusioned with the direction GGG has taken the game.

The one positive thing I have to say is I think archnem is in an okay place in terms balance after the latest patches, outside of certain league mechanics like delve which is already being addressed. I still prefer the old rare system in comparison to this one, but it isn't gamebreakingly awful anymore in my eyes.

I don't care about the state of the terrible league mechanic; I already functionally quit the league. I've weathered through many bad leagues before and came back for the next one, or sometimes the one after. At the end of the day I always just said, "well this one was a miss, I'm sure the next one will be fun though." This time however, I am very concerned about the fundamental changes to the game, to the point where I don't know if I will be coming back at all.

Reducing league mechanic mob quant is a significant and direct nerf to divination card farming, and I have not seen this addressed in any way. Currency drops were adjusted which I appreciate, and the rare/unique drop buff was... ok? I guess? I don't really care about unique or rare item drops at all, but I'm sure it was appreciated by people who do. I also am not a fan of the "loot goblin" dynamic, but I dont really have anything new to add to that discussion.

In regards to crafting, I don't understand how you can claim eldritch currency is a suitable replacement for harvest keep suf/pref. Eldritch currency can be used on 4/10 equipment slots, and cannot be used on jewels.

How exactly do you want me to craft rings after I've finished suffixes? Suffix cant be changed + veiled chaos or harvest reforge and potentially brick my item into 3 garbage prefixes with no way to fix it but yolo annul and pray I hit a prefix? Or even worse, metamod suf cant be changed and exalt slam prefixes and then annul/scour until i hit 2 good mods and then benchcraft; sinking 100+ divines/exalts on metamods per item slot on average like we had to 5 years ago? Yeah, no thanks.

More importantly, how, exactly, are these 2 specific crafts a problem NOW with tradable harvest juice? Their primary purpose was to save crafts with suffixes/prefixes already finished; in the event a metacraft suf/pref lock reforge or veiled chaos gave you a bad 6 mod item. You didn't exactly sit down and spam hundreds of them on an item in a row. They were also fairly common, and I never found myself having to go out of my way to farm these as is. Also, these crafts were already tradable through TFT for power crafters; the logic here does not check out.

If you wanted to remove keep suf/pref for reasons you believe are important to game integrity and item power, at least tell us instead of coming up with these flimsy excuses. I don't know if this is actually the case, but I kind of hope it is, because the alternative is even worse. If you guys actually believe this change is necessary because the juice is tradable, and not just because you think they made crafting "too easy" just in general, it shows how out of touch GGG is with how these crafts were being used in practice.

As is, all the crafting changes have done is make it considerably more expensive to get the items I want for the builds I want to play. This isn't going to make me play longer, it is going to make me quit earlier by forcing me to play stronger builds that can perform with worse gear. Eventually I'll get bored and quit before I can craft the items to reroll the build I actually wanted to play.

Also, if you really want me to ID rares, you need to make that not a complete waste of my time; and nerfing crafting isn't going to change that.

I dont want to see MORE rares on the ground. I want to see LESS rares with BETTER rolls, and until that happens, I'm just not going to pick them up. I don't care if they drop as better bases, the base does not make an item good in the vast majority of cases, the mods do.

Frankly, it isn't worth the clicks and the time spent id'ing and sorting/vendoring them; and this is coming from someone who can look at an item for under 3 seconds and determine if it is good and sellable or not. I can't even imagine how inefficient iding and selling rares is for someone who needs to use a 3rd party price checking tool.

If you made rares item drops less common, and weighted to have higher tier mods, I would be pretty okay with the crafting "adjustments" and general shift in focus to picking up/id'ing items as the main source of gear upgrades.

I really hope GGG reconsiders some of these crafting changes, and maybe gives another pass on loot, specifically in regards to div card farming. I love this game, and have always had a lot of faith in GGG as a developer. But in the current state of the game, I find myself logging in and doing 2-3 maps, not having fun, and then alt tabbing for an hour, followed by logging out or playing chatroom sim in guild chat. It is a really depressing time to be a die-hard poe fan.
do you have a TLDR post
thanks for killing the game now newbies won’t play it and the rest won’t play it either, why kick your ass and not have fun)))))) If an average player in a game can’t collect 5 top builds per league, no one will play it ... and probably I'm all too, it's a pity I'm waiting for the rollback of currency and crafting))))
It would be easy to think that in recent years GGG has taken an open dislike to the player base. That the current discontent with so many aspects of the game is just a lot of players finally cottening on.

Just saying.
