The banned group you're talking about was some idiot streamer and his idiot friends exploiting a bug. Not a permaban unfortunately.

Most bans occur without an explanation as to why you got banned, as far as I know. So please share how you know it's because of Awakened PoE Trade.

No shot you were banned for merely using awakened trade. Thousands of people are using it every league, for over a year, without issue. Dozens of streamers use it , VISIBLE ON STREAM, without any issue.

Sorry, when I see posts like these the first thing I think is "Yeah, this isn't the whole story."

They have not explicitly stated this is a program they don't want people using, and considering how widespread it's usage is, they would absolutely give the community a heads-up before they just started banning, or they wouldn't have much of a player-base left, at least for trade leagues.

They probably didn't tell you why you were banned, so how you'd know it was for awakened trade is also sus.

If downloaded from their site or Git, it doesn't do anything bannable. It just doesn't. All the work it does is done outside the client. The only thing the client gets from you is the keypresses to send messages and do basic chat window functions like /hideout.

The only problem there's ever been with it was a brief period a good while back where the search was able to flood GGG with an excess of API calls. Some people had their accounts temporarily locked, not outright banned, but that situation was resolved pretty quickly.

There are definitely ways to modify it to do more than it does, including functions that absolutely would be bannable. But just the vanilla Awakened PoE Trade? No.

It's just a diversion.

All botting and scripting platforms encourage their users to spam forums and the game's support when they get banned to potentially get unbanned and also increase confusion to decrease the detection on future versions of the program.

Can someone confirm for me on this please? Im still learning the ropes for PoE and trying to get all the tools to help me with my journey, I would like to use Awakened poe trade but the first thing i see when looking it up is this post.. XD makes me scared to use it. Am i safe to use it or should i forget about it?

Be careful not to step into any of OP's bullshit, guys. There is no way he got banned for using Awakened PoE Trade by itself. This had to have been a case of spamming price check requests or botting.

Play SSF, don't worry about trade. :)

That said, I highly doubt that PoE Trade will get you banned. Many people are using it (otherwise it would be useless) and do not get banned.

All it does is copy an item, literally the same as hovering over the item and clicking ctrl+c.
