GGG (necessarily) will not ever say that it is ok to use.

That said, there is literally no chance that they randomly ban a guy for it without any noise or acknowledgment given a massive amount of the community use it, including many streamers, without any recourse.

If they decide to start banning for awakened Poe trade, they will absolutely announce it first.

If the OP or anyone else claims to have been banned just for poetrade and nothing else but provides no evidence (ie: a msg direct from GGG stating as such), they are almost certainly lying.

A generic answer that prevents them from being in a situation where they have said that it was ok and then the program changed into something that is not ok.

Which is what happened to poetrade once, it was generally OK to use, no issue for quite a long while BUT after an update from the creator it ended up being used by a few people to essentially DDoS the trade api and harmed the player experience while trying to trade...it did result in bans, 99% of which were lifted very quickly and there were something like 5 accounts that were perma banned due to altering how the addon worked (via a change in the program when it was updated)

Since then the tool was fixed to not allow that behaviour and tens of thousands of people have been using it for years. it has not resulted in a ban since and GGG will give you an answer that amounts to not recommending you use any addon (because shit can, and has happened)

TO BE CLEAR, the only reason this is constantly brought up with "my account was banned" threads is because those people are trying to misdirect you and GGG into thinking it is a false positive with an addon that had, once upon a time got a few people banned.

This is in the same boat as people claiming that "their friend/family member" got banned, no reason...they are buzz phrases that, to me, shout deserved ban.
