Is it really a "meta shake-up"?

Then abuse those items. Does it really hurts you that much that you need to use THIS item but not other? Why does it even matter? You dont see your items equipped while you play (I assume you have some MTX).
Why do you think Bow builds are so good? Because they abuse items that allows them to be so good. Those items are in the game to be used.

Don't you think there's something wrong with the game if str stacking reave builds can have like 100m dps with average gear but non-str stacking reave builds have 5m dps with the same amount of gear?

This isn't true for bow and spell builds. You don't have to use kaom's spirit, or hyrri's ire, or omni on bow builds to be strong. They'll work with basically any good stuff. Out of all level 100 tornado shot players only 44% of them use omni, and 36% use heatshiver

Meanwhile, 100% of all level 100 reave players use replica alberons warpath and the str stacking package. No skill in the game should be tied to a set of unique items in order to be usable

so out of dozens skills and endless build options just 'few' work. and you think it is ok? like what?

No. Pretty much all of them works. As long you can use 1h mace or 2H sword it can easily achieve insane DMG thanks to BLS/Voidforge/Starforge. Or you can just go with synth stat stacking and use rare weapon, but that will be more expensive.

You refuse to use best tools available and then complain that the build sucks. Yes, I do think it is fine that "all melee builds use same weapon".

If we wanted to use 'the best tools' we'd probably be playing different builds in the first place.

Myself I want to play a skill or playstyle that feels fun to me. I've always had way more fun doing warcry AoE melee quake or bleed blender builds than any of the arrow or magic builds that are supposed to be the best ones.

But some of those tools expected of me are either out of my paygrade or not possible because my builds tend to crater around yellow maps. So I'm not sure why you're going "All buils are viable so long as you abuse the best stat stick you cna find" when getting the stat stick in the first place to BE viable can be a challenge in it's own right.

I doubt getting a void stick would have made my Lancerate bleed build suddenly viable in the sense people are talking about here.
I mean flameblast now has a 6600% more multiplier and the low base damage can be made up for with battle mage, so that is a shake up.
Lightning Arrow just as good as ever.

Much shake up, many surprised.

And using one weapon instead another suddenly makes build unfun to you? Waste of time to discuss with person like that. You just compain about melee for the sake of complaining or becuase of your self imposed problems that you can easily fix but you refuse because of your pride or w/e

base damage and damage effectiveness are tied together so you scale it how you scale any spell you won't really get different results overall.

Not that that means it won't work might be a banger but I find Pizza to be among the hardest channeling spells to play already.

This isn't a rebuttal which is the whole point about melee, Bows have a threshold 10000% wider to find abuse in than melee does :p

If too many builds go through the same itemisation hoops those builds aren't functional, that isn't a balance state that should be celebrated it should be deplored and while I also roll my eyes at the number of still no melee buffs post (even though I love melee too) those players aren't wrong.

GGG have effectively squashed an archetype then said look how small it is no point in bothering.

I used to play triple flameblast totems, ill just do that, max cast speed, get ignite proliferation to clear.

That positive thing to me. Much easier to transfer from one melee build to another if both builds use a lot of same items.
