Still looking for Cobra Lash, Dual Strike, Frost Blades, Chain Hook, Earthshatter, Heavy Strike, Ice Crash, Perforate, Pestilent Strike, Puncture, all shield skills, Smite, Static Strike, Tectonic Slam and Viper Strike. I may be missing some skills, and maybe there have been introduced trans version of some of these I haven't noticed, but it is quite a few skills. I'm sure there are some spell/ranged skill missing too, though. Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

A man offers a T-Shirt, shorts, and a jacket to a homeless person in the middle of winter. The homeless man happily takes them, but notices all 3 are made of fish net. So he says "Really, is this a joke or do you seriously think I can keep warm with these?", and the man responds, "You won't be happy I guess unless you're wearing a Triple Down Goose jacket and a snowmobile suit". That is more or less the straw man narrative you keep acting as if is the truth. When theory crafters are trying to figure out how they can even possibly pay activation cost of a seemingly good melee skill, or making the attack speed so slow that no one will play it, that's what I'm talking about with the constant poison pills. I mentioned how crazy it is that casters have so many available weapons available that it only cost them a few Chaos to for a pinnacle boss kill, yet when it comes to melee it's going to cost you a few Divine. You ignore that, you ignore skill tree changes, you ignore mechanic changes, and talk about skill gems as if that was my only point. All you've done so far is take good arguments and throw straw man after straw man them. | |

" If you are aiming to just kill pinacle bosses (not ubers) there are things for a few C that could do that with melee. Melee is bad only compared to ranged options because those can live with lower defenses. People keep saying how op TS is completely ignoring how stupidly expensive the gear for it is to do those bosses. Ive seen how it perfroms in 100% delirium t16, the problem is the dudes boots alone where 50 div. Its not all puppies and rainbows you know. Melee is worse for sure but its not as doom and gloom as you try to make it. With spells its the same thing. They are not good, whats good and cheap are DoT's in general, not spells. Try to make hit based Arc, fireball, flame blast, divine ire etc work. You will see thats not that easy. You will need good gear with spell crit, + to gems, good jewels, sometimes cluster jewels to make that work. | |
" "For sure". Look, we all agree; it's not doom and gloom. But melee is worse "for sure", and that's the problem - and has "always" been a problem. I haven't seen anyone - ever - advocating for melee to be on TS level or anything like that. What most people have a problem with, is that melee always gets the short straw, and that it's a always a little bit lacking, with no will in sight from GGG to even try to level the playing fields. If melee wasn't playable, I wouldn't be playing PoE. We all know it's playable - that will never be the main talking point here. The main talking point is "melee is worse for sure" and that people seem OK with it. And instead of agreeing with facts, they put up this weird 'fight' on the forums; "it's not that bad". No, it's probably not, but it IS bad enough for something (just some small tweaks) to be done. Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

I've seen it thousands time for past several years, played shitton of melee builds during that time and when people waste their time complaining that "melee bad" Im playing the game and have fun with another melee build. There is so many good melee and "melee" skills in the game I could switch build every 2 weeks, play for entire league and still not play all the skills I want to play again (or for the first time) | |
Thats just the nature of PoE. Melee will be either inferior or OP. Because how todays poe is and plays you just cant balance it. You can see it at top end. With top tier gear melee is close to immortal and kills any boss in second. With so broken recovery melee cant be as good as ts.

" I'm league starting melee and will play melee. Point is that compared to everything else melee got so little effort and attention in this historic meta change. It's not even funny how neglected it is at this point. |
