Extremely disapointing melee offerings.... as is tradition
" The best players have tons of currency and can make everything good. It's hard to define the pure power of a skill when people have spent 5000 divines. You can always debate from different perspectives: Is a skill good, if it gives you ease of progression, but falls off late? Is a skill good if it sucks while leveling, and you have to spend 500 divines to make it "good"? Melee's biggest problem is scaling and gear progression. It sucks. So of course people will praise on of the few melee skills that 'fixes' that. And yes, if we're talking potential, Boneshatter is far from the best, and no one has ever claimed differently. Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

" Damage is one thing melee builds dont lack. (if you build it properly instead slapping some random rare items and thinking it will work)
" If your entire focus is delve it isn't a choice because you can't bonezone with a sword and you can't armour stack without replica dreamfeather its an iterative process. and If all melee could double its damage for a ring it'd be pretty competitive. |

" Adding Nimis to the game was mistake. That shit is bigger powercreep than Mageblood
" Nimis is not even close to completely broken Mageblood wich literaly nullifies Pathfinder as ascedancy with its unque strenght and weaknesses. You're spending 1 ring slot which grants nothing but returning projectiles forcing you to play melee (even with brand or self-cast) to have impact of shotgun effect. Mageblood literally doesn't have downsides. It allows to have flasks with almost 100% effect as heralds. The only reason GGG added it to the game is attempt to retain players. They are ready to break their own "vision" but players must play and bring money. It wasn't added to improve gameplay but to improve money income. It also known as "chase item" where players considered squirrels in a wheel. With such stupid desing they easily could add cheats or hacks in the game for the same effect. Melee is just awful and anyone trying to argue with that is just wrong, everything else is literally much better LOL.

Agreed. You can't be wrong.

melee is totally fine. as long as you don't play it.
Don't worry they will fix it just wait for POE2. I am sure melee will be better. The eagles are coming...you just got to hold out... Still failing to solve "The Riddle of Melee" 4.0 HYPE!!!
SILLY BITCH...THE EAGLES ARE COMING!!! THE EAGLES!!! (bleeds out from a wound to the gut) the eagles...are...coming...(coughs)...the eagles... |

" It means nothing because PoE is a timed race of efficiencies. What's important is being able to do as much as possible for as little currency as possible. That right there correctly defines exactly what the discussion is about. A Honda Civic can drive 400,000+ miles, but that wouldn't make it equal to something that could win the Grand Prix, and still cost thousands less than a Honda Civic. Here though we are not talking about 1, but many cars that are cheaper and faster than the Honda Civic. Anyone can do anything if you throw thousands of divines at it. What matters is the average cost, what variety of skills can be used, how difficult is it to play, and how long does it take to down all the Uber bosses. If melee was so good Imexile and Ben would be winning competitions with it. In fact, I don't think there is single person capable of winning any of the event's that says melee is on par with casters. Ben, Imexile, cArn, Ventura, Havoc, will all say melee is far behind when it comes to what PoE is about. Even Alkaizer would have to admit that much because it's just the fact of what is. The only reason cArn comes close is the guy does not sleep until he wins, dies, or loses to someone else. And he can only do it on a single melee build.
As expected all transfigured melee gems are pretty bad and their dmg numbers are low.
Im happy for the spellcasters though. They surely will have new toys to play with. |
