Yo I'm level 59 BLOODMAGE and this ascendancy rocks. Insane tankyness if you get regen nodes near templar/use vitality and recoup. I also like the new shield gameplay. The ascendancy node "Grasping wounds" on the right of the tree is great.

DPS is fine too, im not dying to act3 cruel bosses and they die ok. Mobs/rares are easy.

I woudlnt reroll. Maybe i'll change my mind when i get to maps, but i don't think so.

Plz note that its not complete : i miss many sockets and points. For items i go shield/chaos wand and ES/armour on everything else. Planning to swap to ES amrour when i get the 3rd ascendancy even though IDK if we can it in pre-release.

Single target dps comes from totem (don't forget to use profane ritual on corpses for 1 more debuff if needed/possible)/chaos wand attacks and ofc ED/contagion. I swap with chaotic freeze on contagion and drain ailments on ED for bosses too.

What ascendancy will this build use? I choose Infernalist, but I think it might be Blood Mage.
It's not possible to switch at the moment, so I'm skeptical about continuing to play or starting a new witch.

OP is playing Sorc Chronomancer.
In the first short you can clearly see the Temporal Rift following his footsteps.

Yeah, based on those few short clips, it does look like this will be a sorc. A bit disappointed since I rolled two witches, but honestly isn't this what Open Beta is about? Trying new builds!

Ascendancies dont seem to be build enablind. They are more like extra flavor for whatever build you do. I'm going to try different things to make Bloodmage work but currently ive been going through cruel just with 1 passive point only in bloodmage because im not geared enough to afford the life cost of the skills. Still trying to research what others have done or tested to respec.

So im experimenting with forgoing a lot of chaos damage thats spread around the passive tree to trying and pick nodes that are pure defense like MoM, big energy shield stuff and life regen to make Bloodmancer work better. Anyone try this strategy out to success in maps?

I made it to Cruel A1 with a bloodmancer and the damage was okay, but I still couldnt beat the second ascendency with it. These were the skills/support I ran.

ED: intense agony, swift affliction, chain
Withering Presence: Clarity
Contagion: Unleash, Magnified Effect
Profane Ritual: Profusion
Dark Effigy: Withering Touch Acceleration
despair: decaying hex, heightened curse
hexblast: envenom

So i never grabbed sanguinmancy. Im still rocking a single node in ascendancy until i figure out how to live with the life cost. If you're running that node I would remove it and try again. I completed second ascendancy and am in Act 6. Been playing it slow since im juggling another game.
