For those wondering, this is how CoC with self-cast comet looks like. Gems socketed on the meta gem are: Comet, Inspiration, Magnified, Spell Echo, Considered Casting

" Unfortunately. Items can be copy-pasted (literally hover over the item in-game, ctrl+c->ctrl-v in maxroll import tab), but skill gems are for manual labor. |

" It's weak. I played with it after I saw Ruz's guide, but returned to Frostbolt pretty fast. After the patch won't do better than Frostbolt. Ice Nova as it is just a campaign skill. Useless in the endgame. Weak at everything: mechanically, in terms of damage, and energy generation. Whatever, let's wait for the patch now. Perhaps they wanted to remove builds that use several meta gems that charge each other. But they also hit us. It seems to me that we have to understand how seriously this affected us and how many comets we will have blowing up walls like before. In theory, if 1 burst spends the full supply of mana as before, then everything is not so bad.

" we'll see. Im a bit confused on what actually is changing. CoC-comet already didn't generate energy for itself. Cod-comet ALSO didn't generate energy for coc either. (which totally busted my plan to blink in and just chain explode everything) I can only expect that note is talking about ele invocation/barrier invocations generating energy. unless there was so weird interaction where it was. all my testing in my hideout giving a controllable environment. smashing frost walls with CoC/cod comet never generated energy. Pretty sure I tested it on mobs in act 1cruel too. what generates energy is the walls popping, and THOSE hitting mobs. ele invocation seems to bypass as you "self cast" them... ugh.... -Fixed a bug with dodge roll which allowed the player to roll through Bone Walls and Frost Walls. " What do you mean by "Considered Casting should not work with trigger spells"? It doesn't mention anywhere requiring the skill to be non-trigger. |

Considered casting is not supposed to work with triggered spells. I've not actually tested to see if it is or isn't in reality. yes, I know you can slot it, and the tooltip does seem to show it working. but, I've done tons of testing in games over the years, tooltips being wrong, happens all the time. |

" Yeah, that change shouldn't affect this build much if at all. Plus even if it works, it still cost a lot of mana so you can't like cast non stop, you cast frost wall + frost bomb, it cast comets that eat all mana, use temporal rift and repeat, so i'm sure build will be fine. And if it would work you would notice that on clearing comets would trigger themselves and you would be always at low mana, but it never happened to me. |

Alright, yes. Tested it, CoC definitely not triggering itself atm.
