After reading about a third of the messages, it seems to me that the main culprit is most likely Windows 11 24H2.

I'm on 23h2, freezed on both. There's even a guy on Linux here or on the other thread.

Just my two cents: both here on the forum, on Steam, and other platforms with discussions about the game, it seems that most people experiencing this issue are on Windows 11 24h2. Not to mention all the recent news about the same thing happening with Assassin’s Creed. Personally, I didn’t have any problems during my 40 hours of gameplay, but yesterday, my system updated itself overnight while I was sleeping. Later in the evening, I experienced my first crash. I shrugged it off and went to bed. Then I saw a new game update in Steam, and now I can’t get past the main menu.

For the nth time. This is not a Windows 11 24H2 issue. We have explained this over and over on this thread, and on many others. You can simply use search to see that detailed explanation.

People are crashing on Win 10, Win 11, Linux. If the game runs on an OS, there is someone here crashing on that OS.

Lmao
Here's what fixed it for me:

Before a Loading Screen, tick off Engine Multithreading.
After the Loading Screen, tick on Engine Multithreading.

7800x3d, 4080 super, win11 24H2.

Do not leave it ticked off during gameplay, your FPS will drop massively.

Can confirm that it's not a 24H2 isolated issue since i'm having the problem on 23H2. GG GGG
Downloaded poe 2 on my old laptop, running a 1080. The game doesn't run amazingly well but there is absolutely not crashing. Where as my new i7 4080 super pc crashes all the time, what a joke.
i literally cant play the game. im running maps and losing them all since the pc crashes EVERY TIME.
...and the radio silence on this matter, can you smell the arrogance? I assume GGG has stepped into the role of a true AAA game company now, along with Ubisoft, EA and so on...didn't take long. :)
AMD Ryzen 5 7600x
GTX 4070TI Driver: 566.36
32 gb ram
Windows 11 24h2

only occasionally chrashes during loading screen, whole pc freeze, power reset necessary
Just trying to sus out any other patterns that might be coming up...

Could it be something related to playing the game through Steam? (Are there both Steam and non-Steam players experiencing this?)

Could it be specific to Nvidia GPUs? Could it be specific to the newest Nvidia driver that claimed to be calibrated for POE2? (I see folks filling out the survey being almost exclusively Nvidia...)

Just trying to look for other options since we know it's not specific to 24H2.
All you guys having the error on other versions of windows 11? Did you downgraxe? Did you have poe 1 installed/uninstalled? Does nbidia app recognize poe 2 as "path of exile 2" i fresh installed windows 10 yesterday after 70 hours of hard resets and the game actually runs better. Not only that and bo crashes, but the nbidia driver is detecting path of exile 2 as the correct game and gibing me more optimization options. I truly think there is an issue with the driver detecting the wrong game causing an unrecoverable infinite shader loop.
