Hard crashing PC locks up

You can be sure that the minute a big content creator, or gaming outlet will put the lights on this issue, they will put more efforts into communicating about it (or fix it), something they can't avoid, unlike during the podcast.

We may have to wait until 1.0 and a bigger influx of players though. At this point I really think we are on hold until then.

Another sad day not playing PoE2 because they haven't introduced an option to disable multithreading while zoning.

I hate that I'm about to start the new d4 season solely because I can't play poe2 on my brand new computer I built unless I manually toggle multithreading every minute. I did it for weeks but it was driving me crazy.

Please help us ggg overlords. No one knows how multithreading works, I get it. I'm a game dev too and would have no idea where to start. Just add the zoning option. Please baby jesus.

Had freezes last 2 days. Even reinstalled windows 11. No luck
And today in game a good soul said use Nvidia drivers from August 2024.
No freezes no crashes!!! Smooth like butter

W11 fully patched to 24h2. Just Nvidia drivers old :)

Not sure if it will fix anything but reinstalling PoE 2 now.

If you have Nvidia GPU probably it won't. I updated bios as well on my aorus b550m pro but only using old Nvidia drivers solved all my issues. I've been teleporting like crazy in game to crash it and it is stable as rock.
Seriously green team - use August 2024 drivers :)

Hmmmm... I installed these and yes, no freeze crashes so far.
I'll test some more later.

I read somewhere here that running POE2 in network share folder fix the crash issue, so i tested by copying the POE2 folder to my home server share folder.
Loading took a while but i am able to play 4 hour without crash.

THen i have an idea how about i create a share folder of the POE2 in the my gamin PC and mount that as network drive.
Lo and behold I am able to play 5 hour straight without crash and dont need to keep disable and enable multithreading in the POE2 setting.

Quick step:
1. share POE2 game folder as POE2
2. mount network location "\\127.0.0.1\POE2" as a network drive
3. launch POE2.exe fron this network drive
