Early Access Bug Reports - POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen - Forum

UPDATE I spoke too soon, not more than 20 minutes after writing the post, my whole PC locked up again. Spoiler I have a 9800x3d with a 3090, I was not able to play at all with multithreading on, 100% crashes, most of the times on first load. I tried almost every fix in the 278 pages of this post, the post below 100% worked for me, almost 5 hours of straight gaming with no issue. I get a solid 130 FPS on the caravan. It might be a small FPS hit but way better than 30 FPS without multithreading Merry Christmas, follow the steps, go back to D12 and Multiprocess, un-"affinity" your CPUs, this works. +1 It is so annoying since launch, please help. Reinstalled windows, looked up every fix ppl are suggesting. Nothing helped. Still those damn freezes, wihout turning cpu core 1 and 2 off for poe 2 the whole pc is freezing. No problem with any other game so far. Happy Holidays! Hi guys, Made a post about 130 pages ago saying the only thing that stopped the freezes was downgrading to Windows 11 23H2, well 2 weeks later still 0 freezes. So instead of wasting time with bull**** solutions, like vulkan, hardware accelerated gpu scheduling, disabling PBO, sacrificing your first born child, doing rituals for the Machine God and so on and so forth just downgrade to 23H2 or do a clean install, pause win updates for a month and hope it gets fixed or you get bored and uninstall. Some people don't think it's worth reinstalling windows for just one game when there are thousands upon thousands of other games - and especially when it's just one single game having trouble. I'd rather watch people complain while I'm waiting for a fix. If this was elden ring then i would've sacrified everything, but not for poe2.
