same for you. use your realtime at the end of the day it's your pc suffering not mine. or just type this same topic into chat gpt or ask any it guy that knows his stuff and you will get the same answer i gave you.

Okay, I am IT guy. Should I ask myself? The question is pretty simple - how many machines with damaged parts were in your service because the user mode application was running at Real Time priority. And the second question. Do you know which exactly part of the system controls the fan speed (and why such design decision was made by the manufacturers)?

how many? probably a couple hundred i didn't count them i can't give a precise number.

how did i know? asking the client when and how the problem started happening.

what kinda problems ? everything from computers freezing, crashing, blue screen, keyboard and mouse stopped working or simply just critical system functions that stopped working there is many many more.

why does this happen? because by setting for example path of exile priority to realtime you are essentially telling that program to take complete control over your CPU that's why a bunch of other stuff "CAN" give you problems.

you didn't get these problems ever? LUCKY YOU!

that doesn't mean that it hasn't yeeted a good amount of computers

again, don't believe me? FINE! use it. not my problem. just warning people that it " CAN " cause trouble. does it happen to everyone? no. still take this realtime priority thing with caution.

why would i lie about something as simple as this. lmao makes 0 sense i am simply just warning people that leaving your game for hours on realtime priority can cause issues i have seen it a lot with my own eyes from my clients.

Turning off multithreading has completely eliminated the crashing for me, 10 hours of gameplay since turning it off. Its a performance hit but honestly i'd rather take that than deal with the crashes.

Fingers crossed this Nvidia driver update does the trick. Or we get some news from GGG.

Why do you refer to UEFI? Did you mean BIOS? Or is it something else? Isn't BIOS executed on my CPU so it can stuck completely?

There is no mistake. If your machine was produced after 2010 (or 2007?) it has UEFI. BIOS is completely deprecated and no longer used in modern systems. So your system is under UEFI control, unless it's 15+ years old.

UEFI Setup is executed on your CPU indeed, and it can hang up. But it is only "front-end" of the entire system, the back-end is executed on your motherboard chip and some parts on CPU. UEFI is modular, BIOS was monolythe. For the average Joe there is no difference between BIOS and UEFI but the actual difference is pretty huge.

That's client orientation for you. They write one message near the start of this topic and put this problem to the "priority issues", just right beside "sometimes not working teleport", I laughed my ass of, it looks like mocking, hard PC crashes and sometimes a problem that need a relog, definitely same level problems.
And mostly people asking for some info from developers, at least "we're not forget, still on it", but nothing. They went on holidays with clear mind, and you, payer, sit, wait and hope for a fix maybe, sometime, whatever we don't care.
As I said before, when you got million of sales, who are this little 300 pages on forum

Because them telling you they are still working on it means literally nothing. Them still working on it doesn't help you, the only thing that helps you is them fixing it. Until they fix it, saying anything else is pointless.

nvidia driver might be the hail mary here...but any one with radeon cards having this problem?
Kapps' poeuncrasher works great so far

https://github.com/Kapps/PoEUncrasher

Read their comments before trying if you're hesitant.

Anyway... so now y'all are telling me it's an Nvidia issue because some forum responder commented on a dude saying its his OS version giving him hard locks...

Vague and weird. Where are the amd gpus experiencing this issue

Thats like a fix that's been said since day 1, two weeks ago. You can turn on again multithreading when you loaded into the map if you want that performance back, you just have to remember to turn it off before portal back to hideout. Personally in my hideout I'm at 70fps so I don't need to turn it on again after a map, in my case I just turn it on after loading the map area and then turn it off when I'm about to leave. It's the only fix I've been doing and I can play like 10 hours without crashing.

I have this problem on my 6900XT build under Windows 10. It isn't exclusive to Nvidia.
