Just adding to this. Same issue, using D12 or Vulkan. Game crashes during zone load. Removing CPU0 from affinity at least limits the crash to the game and not the entire PC locking up.

How long are you waiting before resetting?

That works until you reach endgame then you'll get random crashes again
I know people say they tried it and it didn't work but, I went back to an older version of windows and I stopped having this issue. I also just built a new PC and put windows 10 on it and didn't update to the 22h4 and my game doesn't freeze. Sucks to have to use old versions of windows but it does work on two of my PCs
holy shit this fucking makes me angry. I experienced this shit twice when using return portal to go back in the dungeon and made my computer so slow i could not alt tab or ctrl alt del. Second time i booted after crash i got a fucking BSOD for page fault in nonpaged area. If this game fucks up my CPU because of this, im not playing anymore

How many hours played tho? Hear a lot of "I fixed it by doing x" and then they say its only been like 10-20 hours. I've personally clocked 100+ hours between crashes on 24h2 , 9800x3d and 4080 super. I changed something in power management was also like "Guess I fixed it". I had not.

I'd be interested to hear from someone who crashed on the 6th, went to an older version on the like the 7th or 8th and has clocked like 300+ hours without crashes.

Not the game itself but your forced restarts. If you unsure your CPU can sustain power off / on, blame Intel / AMD and ask them to produce better CPUs. Power outage - proof motherboards, PSU with more strict envelope in transition modes, etc.

If the game makes your angry why are you still playing it? Just don't play it, problem solved. Wait for the actual fix.

You signed up exactly on what you got. Buggy and glitchy alpha. I suppose you never dealt with buggy software before. At least it will be lesson for you.

If you have AMD cpu check this video. It’s not going to fix POE2 but will help with stutter in games.
