POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen
PoE2 Hard Crash is not a Windows 11 24H2 issue.
PoE2 Hard Crash and crashes due to Windows 11 24H2 has no commonality between them. PoE2 loading screen hard crash has nothing to do with Windows 11 24H2, otherwise the workarounds would not work. Not to mention Windows 10 and other Windows 11 versions are having the same problem... I do not blame people who come here and tell that PoE2 Hard Crash is a Windows 24H2 issue because their only fault is to trust GGG's "Known Issues" post. PoE2 Hard Crash is not happening due to an operating system issue. PoE2 Hard Crash is causing an operating system issue. PoE2 Hard Crash is not happening due to a hardware issue. PoE2 Hard Crash is causing hardware issues. Furthermore, I ask anyone who encounters this problem to please give a negative review for Path of Exile 2 on Steam in a detailed and informative manner so that others be aware of the issue. I cannot send/reply to direct messages because my in-game character has not finished Act 1.
What to do: 1)Write a short review about the hard crashes in notepad. 2)Copy and paste it to steam reviews, put up a negative review. 3)Copy and paste it to steam discussions, put it up there. |

This started happening to me after the update, it didn't happen at all before, I was able to play 350+ hours and very few crashes, but instead of fixing the problem now the problem affects more people. Excellent, ggg, at least now we have new maps for the towers, really good update!
They are balancing uniques and nerfing shit but they are incapable of reproducing and performing difficult tasks apparently. You can see this in the last presentation to the public where the devs seemed to have no idea how to solve some issues, responding only with "we should look into this". I know this is an EA and I'm just another player, but decisions related to priorities should be made correctly and they clearly don't know how to do that. It's a good game and a good base, but attitudes like this show that the team is not prepared to serve so many people, much less to solve everyone's problems. " We are unable to refund this purchase to your Steam Wallet at this time. Your playtime of an included product exceeds 2 hours (our refund policy maximum). Path of Exile 2 - Playtime: 44 hours 57 minutes PS. I've spent about 6 hours only in the server queues at the launch lol Last edited by ieovnkr#4861 on Jan 17, 2025, 9:00:05 AM

" I tried to refund the funds, I will write here how the result will be |

" These kinds of posts helps nobody. First of all, there are obviously different sources of crashes, and Win 11 24H2 multithreading happens to be the one that impacted me the most, by far. As soon as I installed that feature upgrade I began receiving them regularly. As soon as I rolled it back, I stopped receiving them. So please stop telling people this isn't accurate. Clearly if they add it to a known issues thread people that are much more epxerienced and engaged than you are have found a reason to do that. |

" The message in known issues has been there since before christmas, unchanged as it is now. While it may have been a majority of the crashes before, it has been stated in this thread that not only 24H2 ppl get it, or windows people in the first place |

This should be getting much more attention given the seriousness of hard resetting expensive computer hardware.
I'm shocked at the number of people that are still trying to play after having this happen multiple times. Don't risk your gaming rig to a game guys. Post negative reviews, request refunds, bump these posts. |

I had this issue even before patch and it was barely playable, but after the latest patch, I am even hard freezing IN and DURING a map, not only while loading into instances, this made the game completly unplayable for me, I hope they manage to fix this.

How this is not priority #1 is mind boggling. Wish I could refund this game. I love spending money on games I cant play due to fear of destroying my computer. Yay.
