I forgot to start BES to limit cpu usage to 95%, I froze, it unfroze as soon as I enabled it again. Tested and reproduced behaviour.

to me it looks like they took over the spaghetti code from poe 1 which had tons of issues for so many people as well. i don't even comprehend how this issue can be present didn't they test this? you can't tell me that nobody that tested the game had a single issue.

Yeah it's pretty obvious, becase the chance of game having completely "new" engine and having exact same issue in exact same scenario is very low
I have the same issue, total freeze.
a little bit frustrating.

Ryzen7 5800x
3070
win11 24H2
Win 10 full update ( Fresh instal ) + 5700x3D + 7700XT

Yesterday fter fresh install Windows 10 ( 22H2 ), install game and play for 9 hours. No lag, spike or crashing.

Now, open the game and i see the gears, then the game crashes Bluescreen!!!

WTF!! Come on GGG!!

I see some people are still crashing after going back to Windows 10. It seems very sporadic. Some people have gone back to 23h2 and are not crashing and others are crashing on 23 h2. I'm curious if they did a rollback or a fresh install. If anyone in here is currently on Windows 23h2 or Windows 10 without crashes for multiple sessions now how are your temperatures are they still spiking during load screens? I hit 96c on my 9800 x3d on my last play session while in a load screen and so even though I can stop the crashes by toggling multi-thread I don't want to risk burning out my processor I'm hoping I can go back to a previous windows version it just doesn't seem like that makes a difference
I just try dude..

GL ... =)

intel also has these issues.
amd also has these issues.
windows 10 also has these issues.
some people said last windows update is the issue but even those who didn't upgrade have the issue.

only workaround at the moment ( which is annoying af ) is limiting the cores in affinity ( for me disabling 0 and 1 work ) at least this way the pc won't freeze. BUT! you still have to disable multithreading every time before porting. the 1 time you forget there is a 90% chance the game will just freeze again.

i have reached maps and well this is far from enjoyable.

disabling multithreading
enter map
enable multithreading
finish map in 1 minute
disabling multithreading
teleport

rinse and reapeat forever. boring. not a good solution but you could debate at least you can play the game. waiting for a solution. this isn't it.

For me it's happening not just on loading screens, but when you open a Skill Tree; or some encounter happens that changes the world (like a hanging guy being released from tree cutscene or something, idk RIP I could not see it but heard the sounds).
