Hi, Can I follow your build without dmg recouped as mana? I dont use dmg recouped mana for belt and amulet
Probably not, as that is the one thing that dampens the damage we receive and keeps us alive. The more the better.
The belt is super cheap (5-10e)
Ammy you can definitely find good ones for low price because not many people use the affix. I found a REALLY good one from someone who clearly didn't know what he was selling, lol.
I have a couple extra amulets for anyone who needs a tester/temp, just DM me in game!
Have you tried using cof comet instead of frost wall?

Sounding like you're on the way! Good luck out there and again, if you ever need anything I'm always on the grind!
Just dropped my first Divine, finally, and wondering what I should focus on upgrading first.
Could you take a look at my gear, there's a post on page 21 with it on, and see what needs changing the most? Except the Wand and the Amulet, that should be what I'm still using.
Current amulet is:
+5 to all stats implicit
Enough spirit to do Blasphemy + Clarity
+68 ES
24% damage as mana
Chaos Res
Strength
Max Life
The wand I'm very happy with, and I think it'd be multiple divines for minor upgrades.

Oh for sure yeah, just feels bad to swap them out right after upgrading them lol
I'll do some browsing, see what else I can pick up as possible replacements if I go CI.
Very real question: Those death knight enemies that shoot a projectile when you hit their shield... is that chaos damage? I almost instantly killed myself in the first map I tried on one of those hiding behind a wall lmao.
Then I proceeded to die because activating levers takes about 4 days and can't be cancelled once it starts X_x
Until then it was feeling good though.
Edit:
How important is damage recouped as mana? I'm at 100%, but maintaining that means at least 1 div for a better necklace whereas if I drop down some with a lower roll I can get other stuff much cheaper.
Shield guys are not chaos as I've died to those stupid mobs multiple times by not paying attention or realizing what was even going on (damn you massive screen of fireballs).
I can't say for sure how impactive it is to have a higher amount, but from the description of the affix, it sounds like the more for us will be better until it hits diminishing returns at one point I assume. I think @ 100%, you're great and I wouldn't go down much, but who knows, the extra 20% could be useless to an extent. Damage > Survivability at the end of the day.

@Zephryl@HigherTimes could you please post skill tree for lightning tech?
It should be in the EB+MOM+CI build linked on page 1, basically we grab some powerful lightning nodes on the top of the tree, and swap some cold stuff for elemental stuff.
Because we're going hard on Mana, a huge amount of damage is coming from Archmage instead of Fireball.
We also slot in Lightning Exposure to Frost Bomb

I'll just have to keep an eye out for those scary guys then.
I'd be dropping anywhere from 5-15% recoup in exchange for 10% max mana mod, which seems like a good tradeoff to me but I thought I'd get an expert opinion before shelling out big currency.
I'm almost 79 and plan to slot in CI then

Glass Cannon peoples:
How much Mana do you want after swapping to EB for it to be "worth" it?
I doubt I can get a lot of value out of swapping over, since I haven't got a whole lot of mana rolls on my gear, but I'm at a bit of a wall with my own setup so I'm considering it.
Also, how do you deal with mechanics where "shooting ahead" isn't really an option? I.e Breach, Ritual etc, where stuff is spawned around you.
Edit:
Also, Gear ES all counts towards the mana boost right? But passive tree ES nodes don't?
I'm still sort of in the unknown on how ES works with EB (nodes vs gear). My personal belief and what I've found is that ES on gear seems to work well for scaling mana, where as the nodes in the tree are all useless. Having a PoB would really help with this.
As for how much mana, I'd say you're going to need at least 3k. The thing is, the difference between 3-4k is probably very minimal due to the fact that any one shot is going to kill any of that. You're only trying to get enough to survive the occasional hits that gets through your damage. If you don't have enough damage, this is where a problem arrives because you won't be able to kill before being hit 5+ times. The Trialmaster boss 1 tapped me with 3.9k mana, but most maps/regular mobs/bosses don't even come close to touching me so defense is literally irrelevant.
This build is definitely not a end game bossing character due to its low HP/survivability. But mapping and doing 10 trial Ultimatums are SUPER efficient (many of the choices in ultimatum are free for this build). After doing a ton of trials today, I've come to the conclusion that rarity is probably needed. Drops are horrible.
Hmmm okay thanks, I'll invest some gold in some respeccing and see what I end up with. Maybe waste a couple lower end maps to see how it "feels".
And also see how much my tooltip fireball changes, 'cause it's depressingly low right now lol
If i drop my current belt, I lose lots of res. :( what is your ingame?

My ingame is Kianthe but I'm mostly afk at the moment.
You can see a mostly-up-to-date list of my gear in a post on page 21, I had to use a couple of rune slots to cap out my resists originally which is annoying since you can't replace them.
The only thing not up to date in that post is my Wand and Amulet, neither of which have regular resists on them (My necklace has Chaos on it, but I just spec'd into Chaos Inocc so that's useless now)

Well I bought a new amulet and gave it the cheap charm slot anoint so I can have some freeze safety, and that let me beat 3 trial Sekhmet (Though note to self: I think next time I go in, I'll briefly unspec EB and reapply it when I get in so I can have high damage and high honour).
The divine I spent on the amulet was instantly returned to me 'cause the third boss dropped a divine haha.
And now I finally have extra exposure so I can delete things even faster.
Edit:
@highertimes What is the strategy for mana drain rares? My go to at the moment is:
Step 1: Panic
Step 2: Spam mana pots and ice walls
Step 3: Cry, scream, throw fireballs
Step 4: See who survived
Edit:
Also I dropped down to 89% recoup, but got about 500 extra mana. Got a few points of extra spirit too, but, totally wasted unless I get a better chest piece. Not enough to run Clarity outside of Blasphemy. Fireball tooltip is officially over 9000, and I think Cold Exposure is now stripping away 78% resistances lol
