(Stormweaver) Max projectiles cold converted fireballs. Cheap, easy, powerful, FUN! (T16+ ready)
" Ah dang yeah juiced levels probably make a huge difference. I've only had a poke around while sitting in my hideout, but I swapped out Inspo for Fire Mastery and that feels pretty sustainable since the only cost it adds is from the level itself. Mind you I'm also at just under 2 fireballs a second. So I think with Fire Mastery on I'm at like... level 22? Fireball so a big difference. Still could be a nice little DPS stopgap until I can afford bigger and better things. |

" Flame wall adds damage to projectiles that pass through it. All subsequent projectiles that spawn from a single first stage fireball inherit this added damage, so it's an easy way to add some burst damage when you need it, or while progressing. Flame wall doesn't 'hit', it just applies ignite as if doing x fire damage. Since we do zero fire damage, it doesn't apply an ignite at all. It's literally just something to shoot projectiles through, if you want. Once your gear is sorted its not really worth casting all the time, since you're blowing up packs with one or two casts of fireball anyways. However if you are in a standoff situation vs a ton of stuff, it adds significant damage to your fireballs over its duration, so I think its worth casting as a 'set up' ability, when we can spare the key presses. Strictly speaking, we could probably get more damage on bosses by dropping flame wall/ES and getting some decent crit chance with a bit of eye of winter spam on the boss first. If only we had a target dummy with some sort of damage log to examine how things actually are working... Last edited by Konried#2763 on Dec 29, 2024, 9:57:56 AM

Gosh a target dummy would be amazing. Much better than seeing if I can bully the Act 3 Cruel boss slightly faster lol
At the moment I honestly rarely remember to cast firewall, but I'm dramatically out DPSing the content I'm doing. @highertimes: I notice you've spent 4 passive points on what is half dead stats to get 4% more Mana, is it worth that much of a skill investment? Or is there also just nothing better to spent them on nearby as well? Also let us know if you've had more thoughts about Anointing. There's SO many good ones, but most need such a big investment... |

" I have all ress + chaos res 69% and doing now T6 yellow or blue map, its hard kill elite, rare mobs, rest of its fine but not one shot, i need use 2-3 times sometimes on normal magic mobs, and still this is only T6. I die 1/2 times on 3-4 maps, T6. i have good regen mana but without this node from passive tree "Mind over Matter" but when i pick and add this node in tree, i dont have smooth mana regen and cant finish map, so i turn off for now this node, but have less defense without it. I add some images. my build. Also you can write to me on pm and i give you discord and screen, click on image and open in new tab to get bigger |

@highertime what are your thoughts regarding this build? I feel like our build is only covering front direction, leaving us quite expose to other angles. time cost to rotate and shoot is quite dangerous since we are squishy |

It's hard to say how fast you "should" be killing stuff because that can fluctuate wildly depending on how each cast actually shotguns when it hits a mob. A dense pack of monsters will go down quick, a lone white enemy will take several shots without an ice wall. Personally I spec'd out of Climate Change, because nobody is entirely sure if we're getting any benefit out of the damage from that node, I'm not sure what you should get instead. The other freeze buildup cluster would cost an extra skill point to get. Either way, it shouldn't be making that big of a difference. At the moment I'd say the big issue is simply your defences, specifically, you need more Mana. More Mana means more damage from Archmage, but more importantly, more Mana Regen and Mana itself so you can spec into MoM. Without that, your effective HP is quite low. There's a variant of the build that uses increased AoE's instead of going all in on Projectile chance, I swapped over to try that out when Konried was trying it out as a possibility and personally I found it a lot more satisfying than the original version. There's no hard number math going on, so I can't say for sure it's better, but it "felt" better. Requires zero gear changes, just tree changes, so you might want to check it out and see how you go with that. You should clear better since shotgunning is easier, and in theory boss damage could also be higher so rares and uniques should go down quick. tl;dr: You're lacking mana (Specifically on your rings, that's where the big and pretty easy mana rolls are) and/or higher energy shield. By roughly the point you were at I'd geared for probably too much ES and too little Mana, so I was way less damage than you but had triple your Energy Shield. Edit: As for helping outside of the forums, I have hit the limit of the advice I can give with my own knowledge anyway T_T So Hopefully this advice helps out Last edited by Zephryl#5929 on Dec 29, 2024, 5:56:21 PM

" I'll take a look. Looks interesting so far and very strong! We do use wildshards which procs in a circle, so you should be getting full rotational shots 20% of the time. I was actually messing around with Cast on Shock last night and dropping a ton of the freeze stuff. I think he honestly has the right idea. He's turned a mapper into a great boss killer and I'm almost tempted to follow his route a little bit with the changes to CoS. Cause what I mostly run atm is Ultimatum and his version would help kill the boss quicker 100%. Thanks for the tip! I will say, I feel like he's doing a lot of questionable things in his build. Spending so many points for your weapon swap and not taking things like 4% max mana when he has what he does seems weird. But I guess if you're killing everything with ease, no need for more mana. I'm gonna try to mix our versions together and see what I can get. Last edited by HigherTimes#6965 on Dec 29, 2024, 7:18:04 PM

Question guys. My wand has "Gain 20% of damage as extra Fire Damage".
1. Does this extra fire damage can ignite? 2. Does it also gain benefit from increase fire damage in passive? Thanks before |

" If you're using the unique gloves, all of that won't really do anything and you should avoid it on any gear pieces. If not, honestly not sure. |

This build is super fun.Just hit 78 today and swapped to a new weap, got 30k sheet dps on my fireball. Tried T10 and it melts everything. Thank you so much for the guide !
