I just quit POE2 because of lack of WAYSTONES.

Currently at t8 and run out of t8 stones, what possible reason is there for me to be getting t1/t4 stones in higher level maps ...its very annoying just did my last t8 rare map and got only low level waystones

I agree with OP.
I have specced in the Atlas.
I run T15s with irradiated and/or mo,ster level +1
I run T15s, with boss.
I kill everything.

I cannot, for god sake, sustain T15.
Had no problem until i reached red maps
Things started to go south.

TLDR : game needs a droprate buff for T15 reds.

+1 game needs a droprate buff for T15 reds.

I had to buy more stash tabs, twice. Just to put my juiced t13-t15 waystones that I've either found or crafted.

On average if I'm just including juicy maps affected by towers I'll get between 4-10 waystones per map and I don't pick up any less than t10 unless they're yellow. If so they get thrown in a 1 ex dump tab.

I have so many waystones it bothers me that I need to reforge them down multiple times a day just so I have room to dump loot quickly when I get back.

Our experiences seem to be completely different in terms of results. It is not luck, you are doing something badly or in an un optimised manner.

GGG's fault. Didn't know what rarity did and thought rarity would just make my WSs yellow instead of blue. Apparently not and I needed to read on the forums and watched videos to understand a basic part of the game. Also locking the +15% added WS drop chance behind t15 waystone bosses.
The drops in the game are simply broken! The amount of loot is insane, but nothing on the floor is useful for the player. NOTHING!!!
How can developers with 10+ years of experience in an ARPG with the same name fail so hard at delivering a solid endgame experience when it comes to drops?!
They were focusing so hard on frustrating players with the difficulty that they forgot that it has to be rewarding.
I dont get this OP at all. If you cant sustain the current level of maps you are either:

1. Dying too much.
2. Didnt uprade atlas skills.
3. Arent running or uprading your maps to rare.
4. Are not using precursor tablets in towers to uprade maps.
5. Are not running any rarity on there gear at all. You dont need very
much to make a difference like +50%. Also get the charm that adds +20% to rarity on kill.

Also you do have to grind a little bit. You may have to go back to slightly lower tier (like -1 or -2) maps to your current tier to build up your pool.

This is the issue I think people just want the maps to fall into there lap and not play the game at all.

I might quit cause I no more space for all the waystones I get. Filled upn4 quad tabs with 15s.

They're worth a fair bit of gold
I can give you 100s of waystones, have no space anymore for them
So rn im lvl 93, what i learned is:

1. Before tier 15, waystone is kinda hard to sustain
2. After tier 15, waystone is abundant

thats what i felt, i was just doing tier 11-12 then i got like 2-3 t15 waystone, then i go with the t15, its just keep multiplying. its like i can feels the drop rate are much higher for t15 than before.

its just what I experienced, probably just rng or maybe lower tier waystone drop rate is lower, idk.

I somehow never had an issue sustaining maps with any of my three characters.

On my 3rd char I did 100 maps T1 - T8 including towers so far and wrote the waystone loot down. Most of them were rare, but a lot T1 - T5 were only blue. I didn't put even one ex on any of them and only occasionally a regal because I simply mostly took the ones I found.
I also traversed mostly from tower to tower to juice all the maps on the way to run on higher tier waystones later.

Results: 541 waystones dropped, of those were 49 T1, 106 T2, 90 T3, 84 T4, 82 T5, 49 T6, 34 T7, 30 T8, 13 T9, 3 T10 and one T11. Plus 46 precursor tablets.

I converted most of them and now have 37 T7, 25 T8, 13 T9, 3 T10 and one T11 left and I also put 33 lower tier waystones in the guild stash.

The maximum number of waystones I got was 14 (in three maps), but there were also three duds where nothing at all dropped. The most rewarding was a T3 magic, irradiated, corrupted Savannah with boss and only 139% waystone drop chance, that dropped 2 T6 and one T3 - T5 each.
