I just quit POE2 because of lack of WAYSTONES.

Getting waystones from t1 to t15 was a bit rough, with some ups and downs.
I spent all my Atlas points in waystone related stuff (packsize being one of them). Now I am level 94 and I drop more T15 waystones than I can spend, have almost a full tab of them. Killing bosses in high level/quantity waystones seems to be a big part of it.

U gotta watch kripparian's video on how to sustain map. What i did was save my tier up waystone ONLY for bosses. I get an upgrade most of the time if not all the time. Use ur lower waystones to progress towards boss nodes then use ur waystone u want to tier up on the boss node. When i tiered up my waystone i didnt just immediately use it. I waited till i tiered up the amount i need to finish the quest then i will use THOSE map i tiered up and save them for the bosses ONLY. Tedious but will sustain maps.
Eighter i am really lucky, or i did everything right.

I have really no problem to get enough waystones. There was a short time, when i had to combine a few lower ones up.
And i only bought a few maps when i started with them. Maybe 3 or 4. After this i never had to buy any again.

The first i did in the atlas maps was to make sure to get all that improve the waystone drops.
I only ran maps with at least two mods, to make sure the drop rate is high enough.
And on the bosses on the maps, i got most of the time 2 waystones of same or higher level.
And what helps really alot are the maps with +1 or +2 level. These are the best source for getting enough waystones. Being able to get waystones that are up to 4 level higher, help quite a lot in the begining.

But most important: do not die on the maps. Dying is really a pain in PoE2. The exp loss is not the hard parts. But the lost map is nasty.

If you die too often, go down on the map level. Work on the gear, or switch the skills to more defense.
All the DPS is worthless, when you are dying and cannot finish the maps.
Two minor improvements would fix the majority of issues highlighted here:

1 - Doriyani sells Waystones level 1 through 15, but to unlock each tier, you have to have cleared the previous tier's quest (e.g. if you are on the quest that requires you to "Complete ten Tier 8 maps", you have the ability to purchase tier 1 through 8 waystones)

2 - The tier of a waystone that drops during a map is never lower than the tier of the waystone used to open the map.

The first improvement gives the option for undergeared/underperforming players to participate in activities better suited for them, while also allowing for continued map sustain for a low fee.

The second improvement removes a piece of RNG that is brutally, and expensively, punishing (especially from a time-invested perspective) as a player progresses through the map tier quests.

Might as well just remove waystones at that point, you've removed the entire reasons why they drop.

It is, like many things in this game, a CHOICE for you to make. You can choose to learn and setup your play to oversustain waystones (and then sell them to others if you want) or you can choose to push for item drops and buy waystones from other players.

Sure, but the ability to oversustain is extremely limited at the early tiers before really opening up the Atlas tree, which is where the majority of these issues lie.
OP is 100% correct im clearing 15s, 14s, and am now down to 13s .....no maps dropping. Every point i can take in tree for map drops and NO #*%^#(! MAPS. IT IS CRAP. Maps dropping stones 10 levels lower, WTF IS THIS?
Fix it! make them drop or put a vedor in that sells base greys until you do fix this. Or I too cbf w this...Don't Dawdle.

Same here. Waystone problems stopped at around T6 when i stopped running normal rarity maps. Started orbing waystones and sustainability problems stopped.
just came here to lol at the title.
where I can get non-corrupted t16 waystones?
