i think its good that low skill players quit en masse, because if ggg caved in to your demands and made an auction house it would negatively affect the game

welcome to world of warcraft where 99% of gold is farmed by bots

please ggg do not add an auction house for lazy players who dont want to craft their own gear

Imo they should remove the ability to trade completely and slightly adjust the drop rates, so everyone is SSF automatically.

But they live of their little RMT companies, so that won't happen.

the game is an online ARPG. not an elitist SSF game.

I wouldn't call it an ARPG when there is no valuable loot on the floor. More like a trade/currency/hideout simulator.

PoE had this issue already but at least they gave you the opportunity to fix that.

PoE2 is awful in that regard, floor loot is garbage and your only crafting choice is transmute, aug, regal, slam, slam, slam, vendor. Back to trade site buying gear.

Doesn't feel like an ARPG when I need to buy gear off a trade site. Where is the fun when my character is equipped in other people's loot?

If there is no valuable loot on the floor I wonder what people are trading? ^^ The truth is if you have no drops and you are poor you simply don't play enough or not efficient enough.

Yes this web trade in 2024 is joke at least we dont have to screenshot items and put it there like in d4.

Its trash anyway are they even plan making proper AH?

90% of ppl are just afk

web trade is fine and far better than the old days. we used to have to post on the forums and bump our threads and use 3rd party tools. be happy with what you got

items and currency are balanced around trade being available... so you kind of do, or else you're intentionally disadvantaging yourself. If SSF were balanced differently than trade league, that would be a different story.

I don't even argue about that statement. Got 4k hours in PoE and played 3k of it in SSF easily.

In PoE2 you had to pay me actually money to go through that torture, at least as long they don't have a viable crafting system in it.
Good luck in PoE2 without rarity on your gear in SSF

I agree with OP. Some people may like bartering, but I don't. Having to take the time to talk to people, find buyers or sellers... I prepare for it, but I never actually do it because it's a pain in the ass.

Another thing to consider is how many people are in any given lobby, and how many people you're not actually seeing who are interested in trade. This current system is not player friendly because of the severe limitations in communication, not just different languages, but no actual way to introduce your goods to market effectively because the game can't even handle the way it wants to do it.

And anyone who thinks trade discords or websites is a good thing is nuts.

no. it's called appreciating what you got and not qqing when an AH goes against Chris' philosophy on trading.

I like the website trading.

I HATE the unregulated implementation.

Illegal parties are having a blast with this chaotic system too.
And we are the ones suffering.
We have chat botters, price fixers and placement fixers.
GGG does nothing, meanwhile the marketplace is going to oblivion.

For example, check the marketplace, look for Div Orb.

First one you see, asks for 1 exalted. Sure buddy, we believe you...

Next lines are a whole bunch of people asking 1 div for 1 div. Seriously?

Oh it gets worse if you scroll down. they suddenly ask 3 div for the 1 div they sell. WHAT?

And that is just an example of the chaos.
