I, for one, gave up on melee characters for now. I'll wait until they make them viable. I must add I very much prefer ranged gameplay in pretty much all games anyways, so it's less of an issue for me.
But bringing back the subject of the discussion, I believe I'd be much more inclined to try meelee if I could do it in a party.
If youre talking trumelee, single player is more engaging. The more players you add it might actually detract from your experience.
Examples that i experienced.
-moving towards an enemy, attacking and whiffing because some party member already killed it at range. This happens a lot
-dying to some telegrapged attack because theres so much going on on the screen that i cant tell whats going on
-"attacking" allied minions thinking they were enemies.
I feel that for partying, melee serves no purpose as theres no aggro pulling mechanics nor are they any real healers for tanks. Its all dps.
Melee in party only shines during drawn out boss fights but even then its hard to play due to the various effects as mentioned
Interesting points, but I think I'd still prefer to have the ability to play as a party and not use it than not have it at all

It's pretty easy to do it. You just play with a group of people you can trust to stick to it. Or even change it up and allow trading just between all of you. Ultimately you can make your own format even if the game doesn't officially support it.
The more More you have, the less Less matters

I very much like the "self found" play. I personally don't think trading is any fun. Also, by its nature, it invalidates bots, RMTs, and many other bs.
However, I'm not very fond of the "Solo" play. I mean, I dont mind playing solo, but i find it constraining that I cannot invite the nice people I come across to play together if I want.
My suggestion, keep Let's drop the "solo" and keep the "Self Found" alone. Let us play as party.
Keep loots attached to the player (one player does not see whatever dropped for another, and vice versa).
I like how, some people have weird idea in their heads...
Something that is obviously bad, terrible even.
And they have the option to play like it. Nothing is stopping them from partying and not picking other people's stuff.
But somehow have this weird fetish to have this bad, terrible idea, enforced over other people.
It is like... Its not about what they experience in the game, it is more the act of forcing this weird stuff upon the rest, that gives them satisfaction...
This is very good example.

i dont know why you have to be so negative.
its not that bad of a suggestion in fact some private leagues held by streamers is doing exactly that, where players are only allowed to trade between a small group of friends thru out the private league duration.
people paid money to host and play that league.
disagreeing is fine but theres no need for name calling.

That's very true. In fact, you can handicap yourself in anyway you'd like and even "role play" anything in and out of the game; even bugs. All to make the game your own.
That said, my suggestion is not about that. My suggestion is about letting me to chat with people I find in town in SSF, and party/play with them, removing the SOLO from SSF.

I'm not sure I understood what you meant. I don't know, for instance, if you're supporting my suggestion or not xD Maybe it's the way you wrote it. Please clarify

I'm not even sure if he was disagreeing. His writing made his point confusing. Let's see if he clarifies.

To anyone whom it may concern, I added "minor suggestions" to the original post.

i m not an SSFer i want SSF to remain as it always has been GGG doesnt like balancing 2 different economies.
for me i would go on a different tangent where players get enough currency/drops so that players can reasonably get upgrades as a baseline, regardless of league.
it should be enough so players dont feel forced to trade but players would still want to trade for very high valued items
