If Blatant Display of Boosting/RMT Doesn't Get Punished Im Never Taking the Game Seriously Again
" one conspiracy theory is some of ggg staff are friends with known scammers. ggg allows scams to happen in their game and even does NOTHING to scammers even if players have proof. wonder why? lol also its not too far fetched to believe that GGG staff could have profited greatly with insider knowledge. the exalt/divine switch. anyone who knew it was going to happen could have profited greatly off of it. similarly alternate quality gems. if any people were given a headsup about it they would at least be able to offload their stuff. we also have the veiled chaos orbs. people who knew could buy up a large amount to stock up and profit. standard league is not dead. " Why bring Tencent EACH TIME ? Tencent don't care of GGG and PoE. They just invest and take their money after. They tottaly don't care of what is going in a game, it's just not their problem. |

" I personally don't get this at all. Is the game an mmorpg? no Does the game make you Vs other players for further increased enjoyment? no For me this is such a low bar issue because to me, any skill determinations should be focused purely on streamer content because the leaderboards or any other type of successes don't paint a type of clear picture of skill, more like time investment and luck. For the issue of Hardcore mode strictly however, I do think this is competitive, so if GGG aren't interested if policing, perhaps they should do this mode on strictly Solo Self Found and some even bigger measures but ofc this is just my opinion as I don't even consider this game any kind of true multiplayer so the care is minimal. |

" I mean, it's early access, which person in the top 50 didn't get there exploiting? That's what gets me more than anything the self righteous grandstanding from these people. Nearly all of the top players got there using exploits they knew were unintended. These people care more about Elon getting banned than they did the dupers or the people who knowing exploited for all those Temporalis. Really the hypocrisy is palpable. |

This whole mess is just one more item on a growing list of reasons I'm about to drop Anything related to GGG for good. I obviously don't speak for everyone but it would be really stupid to assume I'm the only one.
General discussion gaming forums are almost always a cesspit of ignorance and trolls.

" the way i see it is as GGG is a super hot chick who lets you bang her. she could be cheating on the side or be treating you like shit on purpose but as long as the sex is good and shes hot, most people let it slide and turn a blind eye. its also why my friends say my relationship with poe1 is like a toxic relationship. tho i m glad that the relationship has finally ended now that ive got a new and better gf (poe2). its almost like real life relationships. you find some one who is almost perfect but has a few kinks that you disapprove. do you stick with them? or move on? sometimes finding someone else is just too difficult. in ggg's case, poe2 is the diablo like that i want to play the most. it hits the most spots. " I am just incredibly disappointed in GGG and what kind of community they want to build here. I do not think this company aligns with my personal values. I already stopped playing because they did not fix the freezes. I think some distance should be very, very good for me and maybe check back in a couple of month to see where they stand and how they navigated this. The disappointment will stay, though. Because there is no swift and decisive action. Last edited by mobblz#4115 on Jan 22, 2025, 2:01:05 AM

I wish at least the obvious botting and RMT occurring on the trade site was cleaned up to start with. Accounts repeatedly spam whispering all day and night for countless hours should be easy to detect. Also, looking right now there's one individual that almost never logs off with over 10,000 divines worth of quarterstaffs and dualstring bows alone. I find it hard to believe that was done legitimately in just one month of early access. That's one person essentially having a monopoly over weapons that 2 out of 6 classes in the game aka a solid 20+% of the player-base is being negatively impacted and actively manipulated. I'm all for the trading aspect of the game, but when someone is holding 50-60% of the top-end market for an item that should be an obvious enough sign that some form of cheating, exploiting, botting, or RMT is taking place.
