I believe they don't get it either but they don't have to get it, that's why they can play other games that fits their expectations. One thing is sure tho, D3/D4 and even PoE1 spoiled a lot of people in the ARPG genre.

Yes, it's okay not to get it ; and even not to be willing to get it ; without even saying not to be able to get it. To each his own, we don't all have years to spend to get it, or the cumulated knowledge to get it quickly. That's fine. Whatever.

But spitting on the game, calling it trash, when you just don't get it... meh.

If all the people you keep telling the game isn't for them listened, the studio would go broke.

It shouldn't take a PhD and 10 years of playing Poe 1 to "get it".

You keep acting like these players are asking for free divs & mirrors to be handed to them just for finishing the acts.

Stop trolling. You'll see when the devs get around to releasing a big content patch that the game is now no longer for you. And I sincerely hope you take your own advice and go play other games.

If GGG listened to all the doom sayers claiming the devs have to change X or Y or else they will leave the game with 99,99% of the players and ruin their reputation with salty comments, PoE2 would be dead in hours.

GGG is known to follow their own vision, and would ever rather have a faithful but small community than a unsatisfied and whining large playerbase. They even proved it again recently by releasing a game which is much more designed around their philosophy than income metrics. And they have the right to do so.

And yes, I'm not stuck playing one single game and I'm able to change whenever I want. I don't feel social pressure or FOMO to force me to play X because some whatever famous twitch kiddo is playing that. I PoE2 change in a way I dislike, I will leave quietly for the people it cater too. That's the healthy way to deal with things.

I wanted to play PoE2 because PoE1 zoom-fest was boring me, and I'm pleased. PoE2's Endgame IS a huge time sink for min-maxing and reaching all goals takes too long for any average person, but that's nowhere a suprise for a f2p grind game. If you put in your head that you need to reach all goals and complain you can't because you don't have an unlimited amount of time (and skill), then you just failed to realize who the totality of the Endgame is made for : ultra hardcore no lifes. And I won't try to reach it because I'm sane enough to know what it takes, but I can't complain that it exist, I'm even glad.

In PoE2 you have to think how to play, what to pick up, and how to craft ; and a invest a little time, effort, attention and patience, for well deserved rewards. I know that's hard and exhausting, but that's how it is.

LMAO, what's to think about how to craft?

It's obvious which orb you need to slam in the vain hope it'll give you an affix that won't brick the item.

PoE1 has CRAFTING, PoE2 has RNG AUGMENTING with no player agency involved .. and THIS is what you consider the better gameplay?

Really?

I guess it's too easy nowadays being brainwashed by games like Diablo 4 giving you only perfect items for your classes and uniques every two chests. I don't think it's a good baseline to compare anything to.

very low quality bait lol
"buff grenades"

- Buff Grenades (Buff-Grenades)
I just want you to know that.
I like meat!

I always have. I ate my first burger in 2000.
I have been eating burgers ever since.
Over 10,000 hours of eating burger, ribs, roast or loaf.

In 2003 i came 2nd at the Verstecke die Wurst Tournament.
Right behind Randy "The Meat Train" McGraw.
That makes me a professional sausage stuffer.

In my professional opinion, this post is in fact Bull.

Gotta Relax, nothing has been released.
every developer in the company is working to create some breathing room
it will get better.

Heya,

This is NOT a GGG game anymore, to be perfectly clear, the people that put their heart and soul into the original over a decade have taken the bag and are now employees of some sort or walked off into the sunset.

ALL the White Knighters need to read that again and realize the bait and switch that the now new OWNER/Developer pulled off for paying for an EA was a scam, and you paid for it. It is NOT what was promised, it's a copy and paste of the original EXCEPT the campaign, which was probably done before they sold it.

This whole DEAL is a dumpster fire, HOPEFULLY it can be improved on, but the promises made and now being tossed to the side is NOT a good look, and it shows the difference from over a decade ago to the current state of the game/ownership.

I want PoE2 to be a success, I play other games (Diablos/BG3/etc) and want to have options, I'm an OG (63), and while this current account doesn't have a ton of history, I had history well before but ran into some issues with my nephew playing my old account...kind of related to some current events which I'm sensitive to since it's all out in the open but they're not banning them...RIGHT?

FYI, the current trend of diminishing someone's gameplay while hiding is BS, you're obviously a "wanna be" but don't have the nuts to actually show it. SO tired of that in the forums, if someone doesn't understand the game, help them, why be an arse and run your mouth? I'm the guy that helps do the hard things, and am there to SHARE knowledge, SMH.

Take care, playing other things, hoping this gets worked out.

I'm not comparing anything. PoE2 has crafting, weither you like it or not.

Reforging items 3 to 1 give you plenty of rerolls.

RNGs always been involved in PoE1 crafting too. But you only want determinitic crating, I get it ; "ma currency iz precious, gamble bad".

Maybe if you stop gatekeeping and thinking everything is ok. Look around you, come out of your dungeon.
+1 to the OP

and a shame about the people like dwqrf who like to be incredibly patronising to every poster.
