Some people really need to be less of a doomer about the game.
both PoE1 and PoE2 are fine and will be fine for the next couple of years. It's just kinda funny to see how people claim that PoE2 already failed, yada yada while the paid early access with little content maintains players just as good as any new PoE1 league. Worth to mention is that the paid early access version alone gets more steam players into the game than the current highest PoE1, a game that's also f2p by the way and also got up and downs in player numbers each league. PoE2's early access did also earned the company a lot more money than any of the prior years of PoE with 3 leagues, so I don't know how people call this unsuccessful, giving that development costs and product don't grow on tree's for free. Funny enough in both games it's the same, people pick up a patch and quit/complain as soon as they end up being challenged or get hit by a skill check wall causing the player numbers to drop within the first few days after release. Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

Seriously though, this is bad. Maybe mr Game director will pay attention to what PLAYERS WANT and not his own personal ambitions. Players speak with their time and the drop off is thee FASTEST EVER of any ARPG! At least in d4 player counts stay high for a few weeks after a season start! PoE1 player counts stay up for weeks, POE 2 0.2.0 = 2 days and player counts is crashing hard.... that's gotta say something... their game director screwed the pooch literally! Better luck next time, LE last goooo, POE2 , GL, maybe you'll get it right next major patch, next time, dont fuck over your playerbase! Dumbassess lol |

"That's just not true though. At least 65% of PoE 1 players played through Steam during its highest peak which was Settlers. That leaves 35% for Standalone and Console. I don't know about you but 35% is not the majority. |

ironically enough Settlers had the highest active steam player count out of all leagues day one, but only retained less than 70% after 7 days, and less than 40% after a month, almost like any other league during the past 4 years.
Only some of the older leagues did manage to keep more than 80% after 7 days, and more than 40% past the one month mark, and looking at poe 2 it does keep up with the flow of old leagues. But somehow people claim that "it's not looking good for PoE2". I'm personally excited about the amusement and tears once the game gets out of early access and comes with it's own regularly big league patches, resulting in likely even higher retention numbers compared to what we have now with the small appetizer patches. Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

Tencenct owns all of GGG. Tencent is Chinese. I would assume PoE is an approved game.
