91k Phrecia peak vs 234k DotH peak
" So basically it wasn't totally free as you already paid and supported GGG financially in one or another way, vs total free f2p access without any money involved. Lol Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun. Last edited by Pashid#4643 on Apr 6, 2025, 4:13:54 PM

" No ? the key for poe 2 was and is 100% free for me. It wasnt in any of the supporter packs i bought or promised in the future so ? Its a paid product i didnt pay for, yes i paid for some development of the game (unfortunately) as a by product of previous supporter packs. "Have you personally logged into my account to confirm that yourself? Have you read my inbox? You are aware that you can hide badges? You should try it, makes the forums more readable for everyone. That's not the point though, why so antagonistic? "I absolutely do believe that 500$+ supporters are the minority. The average player drops 20$ on the game for stash tabs, someone more involved gets a pack for cosmetics every other league. I have a fun homework for you if you insist on keeping your narrative up: GGG's financial records are publicly available on the respective NZ government website. Go and do the math, perhaps a graph, that reflects your claim of 100k+ lifetime supporters exceeding 500$ over the time period you stated yourself. I'm eagerly awaiting your results. "Unknown game by a unknown team. Lmao. PoE 2 has been the most hyped and anticipated addition to the genre during the last 6 years, so much that it garnered traction outside the mainstream bubble, and you call it an completely unknown game. Weird take to die on. Just for your interest, your 600k claim is also way off. Just in december last year GGG sold over 1m keys, emphasis on sold - not given away over 100k - again, something openly stated by GGG opposed to your "trust me bro" takes. |

" You did still in fact indirectly paid for your access even if it was never advertised prior. Free would mean that you literally never had any transactions with GGG and they just randomly handed you out f2p access. So neither the lifetime spender nor people who got a key from a friend who paid for a pack with more keys got access for free. Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

"I respect your admittance of defeat though feel a bit disappointed. You brought forth an interesting narrative but lacked the data and plausible arguments to further bolster your case. Maybe next time. I'm wishing you a good day. |

" You keep yapping about PoE 2 being "not F2P", which you claim make their average numbers "better" compared to PoE1. But you keep ignoring that even if they sold a million keys and that the game was so hyped, only 25% of those keys are being actively used, which means 75% are not. What makes you think non-paying customers will stick? --- I think GGG have to (and will) cave on the sluggish progression, the difficulty, monster HP and clear speed/skill DPS, especially once they start introducing leagues and resets. PoE 2 will keep getting easier and faster (progression, not necessarily speed) the more we're closing in on full release. While I don't listen much to streamers, their critique is vast and loud. The only question here is: Will they listen to feedback, both directly from players and indirectly from losing over half of them from EA release, or will they stick to their "vision"? Time will show. Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

"1 million keys in December 2024 across all platforms (as stated by GGG) with a peak of 578,562 of players just on Steam alone. Where are you pulling your arbitrary 25% "actively used" from? 75% unused, what? Do you suddenly have standalone and console numbers? For a game that revolves heavily about juggling numbers you guys sure are terrible at that. No wonder there are no meaningful discussions on these forums. It should also be considered that the majority of PoE1 player are most likely on the own launcher. PoE2 players majority are on Steam, which makes the numbers way off.

You have come out with your comparison numbers and die die want to defend it in your following posts/replies.
Let me spare you this ordeal and let's assume your numbers are true. So what? PoE 2 was a highly anticipated game (promoted for more than 2 years) while Phrecia was a sudden event launched to appease PoE 1 players. So there is nothing to conclude with your numbers. Let GGG launch 3.26 and you can then compare. |
