PoE 2, and how fear made GGG waste too much time on things that made them loose the Vision.
" Honestly, I find it really hard to blame him. I mean we've all seen how the PoE1 crowd reacted/reacts in general... I feel like this is one of those cases where it's actually really hard to see the forest for the trees... And they still do... I've still seen CC's ask in the latest interviews about 1-button builds and crap like that... still pushing for essentially.. idk.. Raid Shadow Legends gameplay? But those games actually have a good reason to be like that since they're phone games and probably expected to be played in brakes at work and stuff... but to expect that kind of thing of PoE is just ridiculous to me. And I can tell Jonathan is pissed with those questions too by the way he reacts to them. I still find it baffling that this is the only game I know of where people ask for less engaging gameplay instead of more... "Sigh" Last edited by IonSugeRau1#1069 on Aug 25, 2025, 2:18:54 PM

" Not sure you understood what I was trying to say. I'm fine with them introducing new things like infusions. What I don't understand is why they keep making modifications to the endgame, towers, w/e. It is obviously a low-effort placeholder endgame because "they wanted beta testers to have something to do after campaign". It's bad at its very core and they are wasting time modifying it at all. Or what about the trade problem and the movespeed problem? Again, bandaids. Sprint is bad and feels extra lazy. The trade "fix" feels cumbersome for no reason. Why click a button then go back to the client so you can go shop in a hideout? Why not make the button click buy the item and put it in a "bought items" tab? What is the purpose behind designing "features" that handicap the player but are required to use? It just leads to a frustrating experience. And for all the balancing they are doing, they still haven't even looked at the problem of 1-shots. It's a real problem that makes people just stop playing. Folks might be mad at losing XP, juiced maps, w/e. But the real issue is the 1-shotting. At first you shore up your defenses and "git gud". But at some point 1-shots are the developers fault. |

They completely lost track with this game.
Instead making normal good game for wide players base they drown in Souls Like ARPG strange thing..... |

" Funny thing is that they literally said "when switched to 1 supp gem per skill it was like instantly making the game 50% better". Hahhhhhaaa ) Well, it seems then, it is now 50% worse ) But jokes aside - the vision is full POE-1 route. In a couple of years it will be indistinguishable from POE1. And POE1 itself will be terminated. Screen this. |

" years? give them 2 more patches https://youtu.be/-WUTomqJyVo?si=IEDKLb-VOcWT_JO5&t=72 mind you this is 'intended gameplay' from 2 months ago |

" I see absolutely no issue that a high end build with multiple very expensive uniques plays like this. You won't have this amount of power by just getting to maps. Takes A LOT of farming to get to that point. |

" You will ALWAYS have possible builds like this in a complex game as PoE2. It's unavoidable. As long as such builds cost tons of currency, the normal build out there will clear maps/boss in a normal way. |

" The change in direction is palpable in 0.3. No more "slog", more "zooming". |

" the key here was 'intended gameplay' this is build of the week and how ggg promotes the game- what do you think this means? |
