Gold costs for using the market are extremely annoying

I get that the point of making the gold cost so high was to try to combat bots, but this is excessive to the point that it is just very punishing for normal players. I keep running out of gold constantly just from crafting and trading, and it's sucking the fun out of the game for me, because I basically can't do anything when I run out of gold. It just flat out sucks, tbh. It's too much.

Theres unique map (pretty common on atlas) that specificaly rewards you with lots of gold. 1 run throught that map gives you like 250-300k gold. Thats enough for like 10 quite exoensive trades? I cant remember the map name tho, maybe you can search the web

Yeah, I know. It's Castaway. Still, it's not nearly common enough to keep up with gold costs unless you are jumping on TFT and buying Castaway runs from other people, and we really shouldn't have to do that just to not be completely out of gold all the time. You get taxed gold just using the currency exchange, like converting a div to exalts, which you have to do all the time when crafting, because you need to buy the crafting materials. Gold goes really fast.
I have no idea how any of you run out of gold unless you spend a few million on gambles..

I never seem to be less than 500-600k and I don't conserve or even intentionally pickup gold (5k gold pile on the floor? who cares I run by that shit)

This likely means that you don't do much trading or crafting. Pretty simple...

No I liquidate constantly through faustus. So i'm not sure why you would feel so confident making random assumptions... Pretty simple.
Liquidating is pretty different from spending a full day in your hideout buying bases and crafting mats. I too run into gold issues constantly playing the way I prefer if I don't go do castaway runs off TFT.
I don't sit in the hideout all the time, I don't craft too much, and I have an excess of money. So I think this is good motivation for completing maps. I think the purchase tax may not even be high enough. I believe that it would be more honest to earn money and obtain items independently, with the market being only a tool in extreme cases, rather than the basis of the game.

What are you even talking about? I clearly stated that I am talking about when crafting and trading a lot. I said nothing about Faustus or gambling or anything to do with anything you are talking about.

Crafting and trading are part of the game and always have been. In fact, most of the richest players are either players who abuse group play mechanics with rarity bots or players who get good at crafting and understanding the market. I dislike the group play crap. So, I choose to craft. There's nothing illegitimate about it. It's built into the game and heavily incentivized as it's literally one of the best ways to earn currency to buy the gear you want so that you can play the build(s) you want.
