Something is terribly wrong with Shaders since 3.27
|
Not sure about anyone else but every single time there's affliction forest on the map I have to restart the game afterwards. Pixelated, not fully rendered things, 3 fps, etc, etc, etc.
Next year in 3.28 they might fix it maybe otherwise poe 3 might fix things right? "Parade your victories, hide your defeats. Mortals are so insecure."
"The strange voice showed Aul a future where his legacy was forgotten, where new cultures broke themselves upon Aul's ruined world." Take me back when poe was the actual focus. |

I had this issue and I managed to fix it for me at least. I had high CPU usage + temps, maxed out shader cache, and everything was always blurry.
I disabled windows game mode. (Not game bar, mode.) Fixed my personal issue. Not sure *why* it was that impactful, but it fixed my issue. (Well, shader cache still fills, but I can play while it's doing it.) Last edited by CptStupid130#7338 on Nov 11, 2025, 5:08:04 AM

" This is definitely not the case. I closely monitor CPU/GPU temperatures. The highest I've seen is 60C for the CPU and 64C for the GPU, which is normal. BUMP! |

This is awful now I can't even play maps where affliction spawns.
But hey poe2 league announced soon. Meanwhile things are still not rendering properly a game in this state in almost 2026 would be used as a meme "Parade your victories, hide your defeats. Mortals are so insecure."

Today is horrible with the freezes and crashes.

" facepalm.. overloaded vram would spill into ram instead, yes fps drop but ram usage will be visibly high than normal.. yes this can be mitigated into using less vram demanding texture using swap method, but even so, dis texture swap would just crush the image fidelity, not the FPS. |

Same problem. This is stupid.

I just wanted to add my particular case, until 2/11 game ran just fine then the performance hit the fan. I've been unable to solve it but i found that whenever the PoE shader file on the NVIDIA shaders folder reaches +1gb, thats when performance goes to crap, also noticed PoE's shader cache is unusually small, as in 80mb atm.
Now, whenever i delete de NVIDIA shader file, game comes back to full fluidity and at most has to load again a few textures or effects but after some time the performance collapses again at the same time the nvdia shader breaks the +1gb mark. Also, when exiting maps i get hit with "This action requieres the account to be logged in" but only when im exiting a map and the performance gets x20 worse to the point i have to end the process. The last file is the poe file https://imgur.com/xgRmbDw Thats how the graphs look, shader and drive just go nuts. https://imgur.com/A3qdPGq |
