reintroduce races and race rewards

as someone who started in 3.18 and missed out on a lot of these i think it'd be fun if they reintroduced them into the game, i know a lot of others would feel the same too

Man, but races WERE fun! Of course, even if GGG reintroduced racing, the reward structure would have to change. Alt art uniques simply weren't worth the effort for GGG to design; if only a handful of players ever got that hugely-challenging high-tier reward, what was the point of going through all the work to generate 3D art for it? That said, I'm pretty sure that there are still alt-art rewards which have never received their 3D art (and prolly never will).

Additionally, racing reinforces the "zoom-zoom" factor, and while that was fun in context, I get the feeling that the Devs don't look kindly on the patchwork monster they wrought. ='[.]'=

It would be great, yeah.

I don't think it would be difficult to plan and implement, they do the same for Path of Exile 2 with the new Demigod's.

However, it wouldn't make much sense to incentivize playing their older game when they've spent so much time and money trying to make their sequel.

To reward the winner with something special and unique, of course.
It’s the same reason race winners sometimes get to design a unique, and why the Olympics give out gold, silver, and bronze instead of handing everyone a gold participation trophy, to keep those rewards special.

id just be totally fine with them rereleasing even old rewards

i just think itd be an easy to implement thing thatd make a lot of people happy, the alt arts from races and demigods items etc are beautiful and should be available to more people

I disagree with you.

I think the current price of alt art items and race items are insane and only help RMTers profit.

ruin rmt, ruin the market, give the players fun pretty items

sounds like a nice win!

The price is going up because what was once scarce became scarcer due to being able to consume the items and turn them into permanent MTX. The few people in Standard holding the wealth and actually playing that dead mode may be lobbying, but I have seen no proof of RMT. I'd be careful with statements like this

LOL, careful of what? The fact that RMT exists for every aspect of the game? It's not even hard to search Google for alt-art RMT.

I was saying that the price goes up due to scarcity, not RMT. RMT exists for every aspect of the game. The devs should not devalue ownership of existing rewards just because services exist that are against the game's TOS.
