[Nemesis] HP EK Scion - Arctic Armor + EB + MoM - 5+ Auras

I wonder how you can run a max level arctic aura with kinda no mana left WHILE MOVING. That must be impossible.
Edit: I did the calcs a long time ago, and the amount of regen you needed to sustain that is insane. 120% increased mana regen and clarity + the standard mana regen + the buffs from influence should not be enough. Especially if you wanna use mana to spam your main, you need a lot more than that.

You're using eldritch battery and discipline.. You have more than enough ability to get enough mana regen.

This build working pretty well for me in Nem so far. Had some close calls, mainly because I focused too early into auras and don't have enough HP.


Running Hatred + Grace + Determination on mana, and Clarity on Life.
Enough regen and leftover mana to run Artic Armour at Lv.8 pretty comfortably.
Using Projectile Weakness since my DPS is so pitiful.
Will be getting Cast on Damage Taken soon, and most likely 4L my helm and move Clarity to shield.

My setup has more than enough defense but it gets pretty squishy to elemental damage. (I can tank fire mode of merc piety pretty easily, but half my hp is gone in 2 ticks of her lightning ball).

So nobody uses The Anvil for this build anymore?

I would suggest getting more Life, I just wanted to run dem auras ASAP.

Nothing too fancy, have okay life and enough res to (almost) hit cap in Merciless. (75/73/75 with -24 Chaos)

It does. It's just all auras are % based which means you are reserving a TON of life for them.

Hit 79 in record time, been playing for almost 3 years, this build is such a cakewalk.

Without Alphas Howl I'm running Grace, Determination, Hatred and Purity on mana and Clarity on life. Leaves me with 99 Mana which is more than enough to spam EK without interruption with 1.79 cast speed and my mana regen. My regen outpaces my moving degen from AA.

Current Build:


I could back out of offensive nodes into more life but atm I have no need to.

3.5k Life (36 regen), 2.5k mana (255 regen), 9.6k armour with grace+determination (53% phys mitigation), with iron skin granite and jade of warding I'm up to 85% mitigation, an endurance charge pushes me to the cap (90%). Purity gives me 3% max res and Saffells gives me 5%, so I'm sitting at 83% all res (soon to be nerfed in 1.0.1). 5.5k Dps EK, 5 linked with Item Rarity, would be much better with Iron Will, but I have no need for more damage solo.

Current Gear (a lot of room for improvement):

Saw a pic on reddit of a new unique that might have implications for this build, or another EK build.

Doon Cuebiyari Carnal Sceptre

Say instead of going to ranger/shadow area, you would run more in the Duelist area picking up more STR, and pick up the big +30 STR nodes wherever. That would be at the cost of mana reduction though, so might not be a good idea.

I still think a great wand + 6L would be better for EK, but this does present alternate build options if you canot afford a 6L. This also presents the options of running a 5-6L in the chest for EK, and running a single target spell in the sceptre. EK would still get the global DMG boost from the unique, but you would lose the spell damage boost from the wand. your single target would have great cast speed, a lvl 30 iron will, and get the global DMG boost.
