Nerfing Defensive Archnemesis Modifiers

It's completely broken got 5k life removed instantly by echoist charged shriekers pack, not offscreen but far enough and most important: absolutely not time to react: just - 1 - shot and lost AGAIN 10% exp.

Your GGG people are so BLIND you can't realize people don't have an easy way to avoid this kind of attacks ?

You read this ? This means a whole ranged blue pack doing TRIPLE damage 200% faster


Because If the base attack/cast time is 1.5 second, people have much more time to react than in 0.5 second , get it ? These modifiers were just lazily introduced !

Yes, it is how it works, in fact. A testing department is one of many moving pieces of most studios. Go to Indeed, see how many Video Game tester positions are open and where they are hiring. It's a real job, with real oversight, that all major companies use so they don't deliver unfinished products to their customers.

This functions separately from Alpha and Beta testing done by players. The latter is done by consenting players interested in improving the experience and finding issues pre-release. But a professional testing dept is in place, as well.

But, as you said, poor decision making is the main culprit here. I just see what is a stubborn refusal to move away from poor decision making, and if they are going to go WILD like this - they need more professional testers with oversight and lines of communication all the way up to dev. If a tester says "This didn't work" it should be addressed before any release. It's normal for things to get missed, but this isn't one of those situations nor is anything in Path of Exile "normal" right now.

You are absolutely 100% wrong. First, GGG does have a QA team. Second, game function, stability and performance is a result of QA support and Dev addressing any reported issues and defects. Now, concerning 3.19, all issues being addressed are related to game mechanics, which are 100% working as planned by GGG designers and spec. QA does not and is not responsible for game requirements.

I had nothing against Archnemesis being hard to kill .

They for me are a good dps/defense check, considering i'm playing in SSF.

The only real issue i have are common currencys( Alteration,augmentation,regal,Transmutation,chance orbs) missing from the white mobs loot table; instead ...everytime you kill a pack of white monster you get an huge pile of white items, which at first they were welcome because i needed some decent basesbut shortly after (10 maps and few levels) i filtered them out.

that's it.

Glad you did'nt touched the damage side of Archnemesis Rare Monsters, otherwise there was no point buffing them in that regard.

I hope GGG has Hardmode under development (pretty soon is my hope ;D ), looking forward for it.

You have to run at least simulations to assure that your numbers match your expectations ingame.

It is a bit ironic though with the fuck-up of loot rates. Or it was intended. Chris will expain later.

ok, now i really would like to be able to play a permanent minion build again, after the quadra triple giga nerf since 3.13, it's impossible to keep them alive without mirror tier gear when doing harder content.

I understand your vision is to make all builds Z tier in clearing unless dumping 10 mirrors in a build, but would be nice if minions would stay alive during there 1 hour travel trough a map.

perhaps you really should listen to the streamers who do spend mirrors on there minion builds and take there advice. When even those players struggle with survivalbility of there minions you really seem to have no clue about your game and the minion balance.

But hey i know how to solve this, just nerf everything else so minions builds are not more crap then any other build

Aaand what about damage output of arch nemesis enemies? Some combos are hitting way stronger than pinnacle bosses... Also kinda nice that you totally ignore ruined harvest - it is not usable anymore, we cant really crafting anything besides fractured eldritch gear.... And loot from lake - its still terrible, even after the patch...

You wouldn't have to do this if it was "hard mode". Just saying.

I'm enjoying these changes though however I wish these super overpowered rares would actually drop real loot for the time it takes to kill them. My only complaint
