Trade in PoE is not good and takes away from immersion

I understand that, but no, in theory sure, but in practice that simply does not apply to PoE, with exception of the likes of Empy and similar farming teams or other no-lifers.

I agree with trade manifesto on this one. Remember that consequence of friction removal is reduced droprate - people will be hysterical if this would happen. Look how d4 organized their trade.

That shortage were made not by PS5 scalpers, but by The global chip shortage

It i the same if GGG would decide to lower drop rates in 2 time in the middle of the league - then it could produce some speculations of course

But not automated AH would be the case of this and not that 'scalpers' but GGG itself!

It is common knowledge that ps5 prices were influenced by scalpers, because often consoles were not available in stores. You can claim that there was no issues buying them, and there is no such thing as scalping in real economy, but I already proved you wrong.

What a trainwreck of a conversation.

To circle back and get away from how ridiculous this recent arc was: OP says that anything would be better than the current trade system. Others have pointed out that there are many ways to do trade wrong, to the detriment of the playerbase - with examples. We do know why trade is designed the way it is, all that information is in the Trade Manifesto which is not outdated.

GGG's stance:

-Easy trade reduces the number of times a character improves their items.
-Easy trade means reducing drop rates
-Easy trade would make the disparity between different players too great
-Easy trade allows for greater abuse by automation

These are just the main arguments against easy trade as seen by GGG, the people who have actual oversight on the impact of trade, how often people trade, how they trade, what they trade and so on and so forth.

As I said before - you didn't see the roots of the problems

It is not scalpels wre the reason, but World's chip shortage.

Think about that.

You cannot will away inconvenient circumstances only because they don't serve your position. There was a shortage and scalpers took further advantaeg of the shortage by further tightening the available products on the market. This is ridiculous

Oh boy, you excluded scalping from real world trade as if it doesn’t exist. IF you can corner a market, scalpers exist ( ps5 is a perfect example of scalping taking place BECAUSE of shortage).
