Trade in PoE is not good and takes away from immersion

Ofc some people want everything instantly, and they don’t care about bigger picture. It is clear in trade manifesto what will be changed to compensate for less friction, and then we will have mass hysteria agan. Even d4 know that friction is important, but since you know better - why not making your own game? for sure it will beat poe or d4 xD

Friction IS important.

Because a game isn't made by a single person and requires investment of time and money, I've have my fill of development on private servers a decade ago.

I don't want it to be instant, but I also don't want to have to deal with price fixers or people that refuse to sell something because 1c isn't worth it, It's funny that you mention people wanting everything instantly, when there's so much FOMO in PoE that if you ask a buyer to wait a minute, he/she is already gone.

It's a shitty system that could be much better. I'm not asking for an action house, but since the game provides systems like Ritual and Expedition, hell even consoles have their in-game trading system, this "friction" on PC is just stupid, now add to this the current trash-tier loot system we have coupled with the gambling *cough* sorry... crafting system.

By now GGG could have done something and use a league to test a new trading system, but nope, still prisoners of their 2013 childhood dream.
Pff, who even plays Standard?

It is like this for a reason - to slow down and discourage getting upgrades a lot quicker/instantly. GGG made it clear that if they would reduce friction, they would reduce drop by a lot. Right now people don’t trade very cheap items, because it is consuming their game time, without this friction, a lot more currency would pass through the market and players would gear up a lot faster, so people would just skip a lot of gearing process.

Exactly

They said we increased drop rates

BS

How many mirrors you got dropped for you?

Neither me

I've seen an interview with botfarm owner, he said he is getting dozens mirrors per week.

This loot and trade system encourage only unfair users

But fair players still suffer, especially from crazy prices on everything, because of flooded currency from bots on the market.

I remember Synthesis league. Players there even tried to bargain on prices.

Today is not, nobody even trying to.

Fk veiled orbs:
1. They all come from bots
2. Typical casual would never even touch it
3. GGG should finally fix their economy and crafting, but not add another crazy crafting items, which are accessible for RMTers or nolifers only.

So, you don’t care about consequences, ignore arguments and you just want everything NOW. I will tell you a secret - game is not and should never be balanced around casuals.

No, it is you completely ignoring the root of the problem, ignore any arguments and just want everything remains the same as you prefer and (most likely) getting some specific profit from exact this speculations.

Do you even know how market works?

I have a good A, I set a price X
It was bought nearly instantly
Ok
Next time I will set price 2X
And will continue raising my sell price until the sales would completely stopped.

What buyers would do if taken they are just resellers.
They would sell this stuff.
If the price would be too high for typical user, they would be forced to lower their prices, otherwise this is pure loss.

That's how prices are being fixed in the real World

Nobody coming to the Apple'f offices and buying ALL possible iPhones just to resell them to others, lol.

Ever heared of scalping and how it impacted ps5? Or even in PoE how Hinekora Locks ended up in hands of one group? Imagine how fast it will happen again in AH. I will tell you - instantly. This is how market works. I wanted to give you wore examples but you will just write “fk it, casuals would not touch it” - well, maybe you, but there are more people playing PoE, not just you.

But for a some 'strange' reason everyone has PS5 and bought it in the shops for recommended prices

Hmmmm....

I understand that, but no, in theory sure, but in practice that simply does not apply to PoE, with exception of the likes of Empy and similar farming teams or other no-lifers.

Hmmm… no? It was a shortage for first few months.

An artificial shortage created by so-called scalpers, yes. And not just for a few months, but like a whole year.

And Sony produced new consoles and everyone bought it

And here players would farm new stuff and drop it to the market

And any bot farms (which should be fight against btw) would be ably to buy everything

Only people not affected are those who don’t trade or play ssf. From your perspective it is bad, from economy/game perspective it is totally opposite - and that is what GGG thinks. I agree with trade manifesto on this one. Remember that consequence of friction removal is reduced droprate - people will be hysterical if this would happen. Look how d4 organized their trade.
