" Yeah, you are right, real time freeze time is longer than tooltip, it's around 16 seconds. Btw, Monik, can you record a video of killing Xesht (breachlord) on max difficulty? I mean the one with 8/8 in the atlas tree, not the one you do to get last 2 points, he is much tankier. I had to play around with my setup to get him. |

cast on dodge testing.
this, is of course arguably not really cold chrono related exactly.. but if archmage is ok, this is probably too. haha. me seeing trying every spell with cast on dodge, to see how well it works:

comet-coD 10k hit. for comparison. not these numbers are with my spell damage, area damage, cold damage, elemental damage. so, will be biased. d bonecage-casts at cast point. useless. (maybe astral projection would work.) 1500 hit. bonestorm-channel cant socket. unearth- cast at cast point, towards mouse. 770 emberfusilade- interesting. procs quick.. but, the cd on blink actually makes this meh. this would be powerful CoC proc I think. you could stack them up fast. incinerate-channel. cant socket fireball- casts from cast point, towards blink direction. 1328 damage solar orb- casts AT target location. not bad at all. reduced duration, does not speed up the pulsing. not burning ground. this would be good for someone, but probably not us. flameblast- channel. cant socket... using blink, WHILE channeling flameblast, casts, then blinks. can't blink and unleash it manually.. (pretty fun spell though, you can move while channeling..) flame wall-casts at target location. solid..but manually casting it is also really easy. might have some eye of winter combo value. firestorm-casts at target location. limit 1.. can be supported with spell echo,aand cascade.. no idea what they do with it.. this seems really good. not the singular burst of comet. but large aoe consistent damage. paired with flamewall, to ignite. just a constant firestorm as you blink around. 1.4s cast time, only 140 energy needed. there is a build here I think.. (528 ave hit, 3352 improved bolt) detonate dead- casts at target location, however, auto targets nearest corpse on screen, if there is none at target. spell cascade works. not bad at all.. now, we can either kill one, then dive in and chain explode.. or, 60 spirit Sacrifice. which does work. all call exploding your own minions. including "free" scepter ones. spark- casts at cast point. pretty meh. spark is made for spam casting. and would work better if it was casting at location. arc- casts at cast point. auto targets, but will only hit if close. weak. ball lighting.-casts from cast point. useless. lighting warp- only works if blinked at ball lightning. lol (or targets ready to be culled. regardless, pointless.. just mimicing baseline lit warp. orb of storms- casts halfway. odd. I suppose solar orb does it too. seems more noticable with orb of storms, as you drop it, and then leap forward another 1m. oos seems weaker then solar orb. lit conduit. 1s+1s cast time.. terrible. so, same 300 energy cost as comet. but pathetic damage unless the target has lots of shock effect. might be useful for CoC, but is awful for CoD. no alphastrike viability. dark effegy-totem wont cast. contagion- casts at target. might be very strong for a chaos dot build.. but its raw scaling was pathetic in my build. (191 dps...) profane ritual. casts at location, but will also auto target corpse. sacrifice will arget allied minions.. gives a powercharge on completion... 380chaos dps. 5ritual limit. this is interesting. a source of powercharges. if we didn't shatter all our corpses, this might be something. even if we were just slotting it to manually cast.. essance drain- casts from cast point. fast projectile.. 900 damage+dot. hexblast-casts at target location. 1800 damage. +blasphemy... works extremely well.. blink in and automatically explodes. this good. this might be better then comet outright, for chaos builds. doesnt pop our walls. this is almost good enough for me to run right now, in my cold chrono build, to cast every time, instead of comets every other. (except Im not running blasphemy atm..) im going to run a map with CoD hexblast. Ill manually cast hypothermia or tempchains. with archmage its 3400 total per explosion. 50/50 chaos/lit damage. 9 explosions max per cast. (and I have minion pact, to remove 100% of my life from a minion to give it +40 more damage. ok, didn't work perfectly. no good with manual casting curse. far far smoother with blasphemy. however, I dont have enough spirit for archmage, blasphemy, blink, and cast on dodge. I just got this bad boy (spoiler alert - it is kinda bad):
I found a place to fit it with 9 small passives (and potentially 13 because there are useful passives nearby): So, 9% mana. What it does: - It boosts my mana from 4054 to 4245. - It doesn't affect my spirit shield (from Everlasting Gaze) at all. - This extra mana affects damage given from Archmage pretty decently. But it barely makes any difference with other damage. So Arcane Intensity (3% increased Spell Damage per 100 max Mana) is barely noticable with this extra mana, probably because it's increased and not "gain as extra" like Archmage. I'd say Maximum Mana is not worth it on this jewel. Probably Spirit + some resistance will be better choice. With 12 Spirit for each notable, you can get like 50 extra spirit from one of these and it can help you partially cover some of your elemental resistances. I'm wondering if there is some play with "From Nothing Diamond" which allows you to pick passives in radius of certain big passives like CI, MOM, etc, without connecting them to your tree. Also "Prims of Belief Diamond" with +3 to level of Frostbolt or Comet may be huge boost. |

Quick droppin.
It's been almost a month since EA release, and things have changed a lot since then. - Will do a massive revision of the OP this weekend, gonna try to make a proper guide out of it. - Will remove Casia's split build and Seeder's EoW. - Will add Ruz's boss carry, Casia's support build and Chobi0ne's frostbolt. As for me, I'm busy with breach on delirious maps rn. Lvl 93, lvling is slowed down a lot bc I have to run t12 maps too to save on investment in delirium. They drop with deli >60% quite often, and each such map is way more profitable than 20% deli t15. Have to say I miss Frostbolt very much. A lot of maps just bad with Nova+Wall. " No problem, will do it after I'm done with my current farming atlas setup. Need to get 1 more perfect jeweller's and see if I can get a better wand. A day or two at most.
