POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen

After the winupdate, I sometimes also freeze before I see the log in screen.

So the new Nvidia driver is out, any one tried with 572.16 ?

As i did see talks of the nvidia driver will be fixing the issue on nvidia cards.

There are other crashes related to nvidia. I suppose it fixes those. This issue is probably not related to Nvidia at all since AMD users also freeze. This is cpu related most likely.

I have the same issue; I can't play the game because my PC crashes every time.

Well our savior Jonathan Rodgers mentioned the game still crashes during the “Sorry but screw PoE1” video. My mouth watered at the very moment he uttered the word “crash” - still unacceptable we’re pushing 2 months with no fix to this issue.

I have 75 hours on PoEUncrasher with 2 crashes and 1 of them I just forgot to run as admin. The other I was able to kill the app but crashed on the load back in and had to reset, probably just needed to reopen the Uncrasher. If you haven’t used it I would highly recommend. The previous 20 hours were unplayable, probably 10-15 hard crashes. 9800X3D 4080 Super

Well after NVIDIA App update, i did try to play some more act 2, and it seems now that only crashes the game. However fuck GGG, cant event play POE2 and killed POE 1, amazing how buyouts fucks companies.

Just as an update to whom it may concern:

Since the Windows update from yesterday and the geforce game ready driver from today i did not encounter any freeze (fingers crossed it stays that way).

Also the performance is much better for me now, meaning the frame rate is more stable and the power usage and average temperature of my graphic cards is lower.

After 20 odd crashes, I finally give up on this game. I will not be playing until this issue is fixed. Its ridiculous that after 2 months of reports this is not addressed yet.

I had deferred updates but forgot and that ended, so 24H2 installed overnight. Installed the latest Nvidia driver and the first load of POE2 hard locked my system on initial login. Restarted and was able to play. Got locked again loading into a map. I have since rolled back to the previous build on Win11. I've not had any lockups or issues since changing to Vulkan back around launch.
