POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen

I have been having this bug happen but it is exclusive to random people's hideouts
Has anyone had this "patch" work for them?
I don't want to load up poe2 since it would just hard lock my pc.
I know its case by case but I'm not starting up poe2 until most people aren't experiencing this problem.
I would love for the game to work as intended... I gets is a early access but to not play even though I have paid is a disgrace.
Just here to +1 that while it's *better*, I still need to limit 2 cpu cores to prevent a hard crash and I still sometimes have to end the process manually when it locks up
Have the same problem in poe 1 ? freeze and hard lock, it is only on windows 11 or 10 has the same problem?
The most recent patch has seemed to fix this for me.

Issue fixed for me
Issue seems fixed for me.

HOWEVER:

I have important news for everyone!

Try out using Vulkan if you have a very good GPU.
For some reason, I seem to be getting 50-60 FPS more with Vulkan rather than DX12. Tested it multiple times with my friend, in multiple places. I do not know if this is a new thing, but I never noticed it before, might be that the patch somehow makes the DX12 perform worse.

Anyways, we have a 4090/4080 and 9800x3d/7800x3d and for both of us, it boosts our FPS by rouhgly the same percentage, allowing our GPU usage to hit closer to 100% than with DX12.

Try vulkan!

4080 = 16GB, I have 32GB of RAM, and an ultra-fast NVMe.

As I mentioned, only PoE2 gives me issues. My PC is extremely well-configured and up to date, and I have no problems with any other game.

After the new patch, FPS dropped drastically, and there are frequent stutters that make the game unplayable.

This company is a disappointment. They’re making me drop the game due to their lack of care. I've never seen a game in this stage of development with so many issues.

This game has little to with GPU and storage(apart from loading shaders), but is primarily CPU heavy, all current problems relating to performance is directed to the CPU.

Stuttering is generally related to CPU bottlenecks and unoptimization, general solution for this is to hard limit FPS, you can do that by Nvidia control panel, there is a dedicated option for that, limit FPS to 100 as a test, and then adjust accordingly, if this doesn't work at all then try limiting with Riva tuner statistics server.

Also, you might just be thermal throttling, as high CPU usage related to high temps.

Apologies if you have already tried all of these.

People on the internet are very ignorant and lack knowledge.

All I see is people saying, "The problem is your PC, it's this, it's that," which is ridiculous.

Understand this:
My PC has no issues with any game except PoE 2.
No overheating, no installation problems, nothing. I've been using PCs for 30+ years and understand more than 99% of the people reading this.

The problem is with the game, specifically for those using an X3D CPU and the latest version of Windows.

They recently disabled some feature, which stopped the complete system freeze issue, but performance has dropped drastically. Before the patch, the only way I could play was by disabling multithreading before entering a portal and enabling it again afterward. My FPS was always 200+, but if I didn’t disable multithreading before going through a portal, it would instantly freeze the system.

Now, it doesn’t freeze anymore, but FPS drops to sub 60, which is absolutely ridiculous.

I wonder if you, with your 30+ years experience, know that most TV broadcasts we see fluidly and clearly are at 30-ish FPS. Great, you're used to 200...but put it in perspective.
Just when I thought I found a solution to the freeze, the game completely froze for me when opening the caravan map in act 2.

This has never happened to me before, the freezes only happened when transitioning between maps.

I was running poeuncrasher, and disabled 2 cores and the computer litterally froze in like 2 milliseconds with no way of tabbing out to desktop to kill the process. Had to use the power-button...

And GGG thinks this issue is fixed. They removed the issue from the known issues and put it under recently fixed.

Im starting to loose all hope tbh.
Did they just implement this temporary solution for Path of Exile 2, or did they implement it for the first game as well? Are they even aware that the same issue exists in both games?
