My friend just had this issue. It was not in his inventory. It did not drop after rekilling. BUT, if you have a friend who this did not happen to. They can drop you one. I had two in my inventory, joined game and dropped it for him. Can confirm it worked and he was able to get into the trials now. Hope this helps someone.

whyy do you not put the drop back onto the chimera? its kinda stupid to have your game progress bricked by this bug thats known since release.
