Viper Napuatzi

I'm playing hardcore, and you guys all scared me with that thread about the terrifying Viper Napuatzi!

I watched a video, went in, and I found the fight well telegraphed and quite enjoyable.

Damage is quite reasonable (I had 10% chaos resist). There's no one-shot move anywhere (unlike that Mighty Silverfist who can rush in and delete your character in half a second). My damage was pathetic, the fight took a while, and I had plenty of time to study the mechanics and get used to dodge everything.

That boss was fun! Well done GGG!

Just study the fight, people, it's all well telegraphed. I found nothing to complain about.

What the hell guys? I beat her 2 times on normal and 1 time on cruel, never died once. Playing warrior, skilled full damage, no survivability at all. How do you guys die so much against this boss? There are definitely harder fights in these 3 acts...

You are either trolling or just completely unaware of the fact that different people have different experiences.

It's what I've been saying in a diff thread.. if you're not a glass cannon this fight is just absolute rubbish with the amount of poison she throws at you continously. I can safely say the actual act 3 boss is super easy compared to her. Big part of this for me is also just the restricted area to fight in there's no breathing space... and then she does a ton of AOE with it as well... what's next? Boss fight in a dungeon hallway?

Im taking a break because of her right now. Im not the best at avoiding things, thats for sure. But I have 1200 HP and 50 chaos res. My DPS could be better, thats right. I can dodge almost everything. The problem comes, when the arena is getting smaller, and the shieldwalls on the two sides attack with poison at the same time. I cannot dodge it. And with 1200 HP and 50 Chaos res, im oneshotted.
I think the last phase just too hard. Attacks should be slower and/or the damages should be lower.

But i have to tell, the game is cool im my opinion so far. I will a bit over leveling and try again. Just need some fresh air. :D

GG GGG

Edit: After the break, I killed the MF. (10 another try, but I managed to kill it) I was lucky with the rolling in the last phase (or I got better, who knows). I hope I will be able to do it one more time.

I seriously thought about quitting the game because of this boss fight.

I gave up and went to play other classes. When I get to this boss, I stop.

I allow my son, an expert at Elden Ring, to fight the boss and get past it. Please make some boss fights less about expertly timing dodge rolls in specific directions.
I personally think this fight is one of the best in the entire game so far, almost to the point where I think it´s an iconic fight. The first 75% of the fight is very mechanic heavy, but honestly think it´s perfectly fine. The last 25% depending on your DPS can be tough, but all of her mechanics (including the poison spears) are a L2P issue.
Boss HP needs to be slashed by 90% across the board, player damage needs to come way up. Nobody wants to spend 15 minutes hammering away at a boss - not casual players, not veteran players, nobody.

Dude, I'm already one-shotting bosses. TUne it down by another 90% and it's a walk in the park for everyone...

I straight up don't believe that you're "one-shotting" bosses. That is not a thing you're doing.

And in any case, good. That's how it should be.

The gameplay is getting in the way of your loot i take it?
I want to have fun. My experience of Act 3 is "my friend did the bosses for me while my character chilled out dead on the floor" and that wasn't fun.
