rate the endgame from 1 to 10

Story-Line (Act) 10/10 = so much fun
grinding and Mapping 2/10 = Endgame punishes you twice for dying. Some rare monster has special semi-visible explosions and that's it, 1 hit.

Endgame is almost no fun, while the acts and storyline were brilliant.
d4/10 tbh

It's not "deliberate play style like they promise"

Too much punishment.
Campaign Boss design: 8/10, some bosses are really cool, some have borderline bullshit added.

Campaign maps: 2/10, too large and nothing drops from mobs except yellows. Was gear starving until the end of act 3. No orbs to craft, no good finds...

Visually: 8/10

Game Systems: 5/10 New gem system will be good once we have more support and skill gems ready, but for now pretty limiting. As I was leveling minions my only choice early on (before patches) was SRS. Vendoing systems need to be streamlined, not one guy here, one bench there.

Gameplay: 5/10 EEEEEHH at times, the auto aim is awful on console, will not play a Bowfriend until they give PoE 1 controls.

Endgame: 1/10 Pretty boring and too grindy for no reward. I am on my way to 90 and have found 2 citadels which are only copypastes of act bosses. There need to early bosses to shake up the grind and for the citadels we need to know the direction towards next citadel. + Lost Towers are a useless waste of time you HAVE to do.

Map layouts: 0/10 90% of them are just awful. The worst PoE 1 maps are more comfortable then this mess and then there is Vaal Factory as the worst map in ARPG history!

Trials: Uninstall/10 Seriossly why was thinking forcing a controversal mechanic like Sanctum on players was a good idea. Also this sanctum is worse then PoE1 with a bullshit RNG boss at the end. Have good layout and 30% movement speed or wipe. Chaos is slightly better but the mod pool is too small and too annoying. Had to run it 4 times to get teh correct keys and I am so glad I don't have to do it again.
Originally I was planning to test lots of classes but the trails made me think: "No thanks, I am fine"

Unique gears: lol/10 everything I found so far is utter trash I would not even use in act 1.

Overall I would say 4/10
It is a unpolished diamond but also feels like one step forward, 120 steps back from what makes PoE 1 amazing!
3/10 worst sense of progression in history of ARPGs. the 3 only because they kinda nailed it with the campaign. but that's it. everything else is bad/broken/annoying/stupid as game design

3/10

++ new game
+ graphics
++ skill animations
+ character animations

--- loot is sh..! no fun!
- no 2h melee playstyle possible, because of no defense
- armour is weak
-- defense = roll ?! (if this, then roll, dash, teleport, ...; class specific)
- no escape, if mobs make a circle formation around you
- static npc's
1/10. caused me to quit completely

I think the atlas concept is neat and has potential, but the execution is horrible. Endgame mapping is very stale and unrewarding. The boss citadels are pretty much non-existent. Towers might as well be a 2 minute loading screen to unlock them. Most of the map layouts are straight up cancer. They have WAY too many narrow passages and doorways. Some skills literally don't work if the area is narrow with monsters in it; very frustrating.

I dislike the endgame bossing system too. They made a similar mistake they corrected in POE 1 by tying the same boss fragment to different difficulties, making it feel wasteful using them without speccing, hence why they added separate UBER fragments after loads of negative feedback. But here we are in POE 2 with the same problem, except the fragments are atrociously expensive, AND you have to run them unspecced to get the atlas points to begin with, so it feels even worse.

Not directly related, but, while there is build diversity, some builds are way overtuned compared to others. It feels bad that I didn't league start a Spark Archmage Stormweaver so I can steamroll and trivialize
maps/endgame. And why did they bring back such a controversial and disliked mechanic like magic find?
1/10. I hate mapping for hours on end. I prefer bossing. Poe1 has the perfect setup. Destructive play invitation rotas into bossing. Poe 2 is farm 800 maps. do 3 bosses. pray you dont die because you get 1 chance to learn something.
