Exp loss on death topics are getting out of hand.
" So if its just extra, and you don't care if it being an achievement, obsessions to 100? |
|
" This ain't about getting 100, stop trying to misdirect. People just hate having their time wasted because of exp loss. That's it. It's very simple. |
|
" The frustration comes from the disappointment over people, like you, blindly defending a mechanic that's overall detrimental to almost every player, only because it exists. If level 100 exists, then you're expected to be able to reach it. Yet the game slaps you in the face with a mechanic that tells you the opposite. A mechanic that people would largely forget even existed if it were removed. |

If devs were never wrong this game wouldn’t suck your soul to play and people wouldn’t be complaining and there would never be any changes or bugs but oh they’re never wrong yeah okay. What an asinine point of view.

iMirageX#4580 Seems like u dont really know defences very well. Very few chars can scale above 3k hp without sacrificing too much except the warrior/titan and maybe an attribute stacking gemling. Armour unfortunately has diminishing returns base on the phys damage of the hit, the larger the hit the less effective armour becomes. Yes u might look at a tooltip that says 70-80% phys reduction and this might be true if the mob hits u for like 10-20 damage, however due to the way mob damage scales in endgame u are more likely looking at 10-15% effective phys reduction. This is easily outporformed by an es char wearing a cloak of flame that converts 40% of phys damage take to fire which then gets reduced by 75% or more by ur fire res on top of having a much higher health/es pool + the converted fire damage has no diminishing return Now as an es based char you can easily scale 8-10k es and above and even a witch can get max block i already did that one. Besides u can make ur life regen apply to es and u can even make ur life flask apply to es. on top of this u have grim feast which can basically double ur es pool and work as pseudo regen.
There is a reason people playing endgame use es and if u would watch Kripparrian's video on the armour problem u might understand why its practically useless as it is now |

At least some of the things should be changed, 1 death maps, very overtuned mobs, and experience loss together is too much. I think exp loss is necessary to make people fear dying, so I would look at the other two.

" " " I was asking him, you replied. You said these lines. I ask the reason. You can't provide a reason, I misdirect? Maybe next time don't reply to someone else that is asking another person? Unless you're also the one using that account. Last edited by iMirageX#4580 on Dec 25, 2024, 12:12:20 PM

" Seems like I don't really understand defenses? Really? So you are saying that, people will take an 8k ES over 85% block? Really? Am I the one that does not understand tiers of layers of defense here or is it you? In the 1st place, people specced to CI because the chaos damage on tier 1 maps was so high before they adjusted it. Maybe learn the facts before lecturing other people. Last edited by iMirageX#4580 on Dec 25, 2024, 12:19:04 PM

" If you view level 100 as an achievement and in your own words, you should be able to achieve it. Problem is, you have problems reaching 100, others don't and yet you still blame the games design and don't question what is wrong with you. Its really impressive how you blame one thing that people can achieve and you can't and still don't ask if you were the wrong. |

Hey! OP! You are wrong!
The game has a hardcap -lvl 100. Getting there does not break the game, in fact each level represents a fairly small upgrade. Bottlenecking XP effectively removes progress and ability to do harder content for a lot of builds. Most players do not play 15k energy shield builds 10 hours a day. I come home from work, I do five maps, spent three hours, get no drops, and then some fairly random and impossible to see on death effect one shots me. All progress that day lost. If I'm unlucky, it was a boss map I had been farming too. Yeah. That is not fun. And unless you are some sociopathic psycho, that shouldn't be fun for you either. Also, I don't really get what the OP's problem here is. Why on earth are you so obsesses with not letting others have exponentially small rewards for playing the game. It won't hurt the economy, it won't make the game easier for you. Seems to me you just want to make sure other people do not achieve what they consider fun, and that makes you quite the grinch.
