Dissapointed with GGG today.

GGG turned down every suggestion that was asked because it didnt fit their vision for the game. To be expected.

The game... You mean "It didn't fit the vision they have for their game?"

Cause it is after all their game and tbh its doing great

What's great about a game that hasn't hit 300k on steam in 2 weeks lmao. the game isn't doing well and hasn't reached anything to talk about since all it's done is bleed players out.

0 chance this next update will hold anywhere near their initial release numbers.

wow a typical poe player being dishonest about the questions asked so they shift the narrative.

my question was how is tis game a success when all the numbers show is this game is bleeding players faster than their gaining.

if you think a new game not retaining 1/2 the player base is good you have some reevaluating to do along with the overlords ggg

Apprently they've already lost 90% of their player base (Customers) and 90% is ALOT of future revenue. The job of any business is to keep customers coming back and buying more. If you scare away 90% of your customers your company will go bankrupt within a month.

Diablo 4 for the last 18 months

mate, i am playing poe2 only because i started poe1 in 2014 lol.
no way i would play any early access game otherwise.
and such old player as myself will not leave because of something that he knows over 10 years.
new casual guys who would spend anything, normally never go early access!
either they want to play for free and not spend anything or they don't play until proper release :)

1 death mapping is and always will be dogshit.

if we wanted severe penalties we'd play hardcore

maybe there needs to be a "mediumcore" league? I don't know why GGG want to die on this hill - just reduce bonuses in maps if people die. reward players who never die because they're playing meta builds and they're a streamer so they get to play like it's a job and never die and let the rest of us who make occasional mistakes or play like normal human beings with jobs and shit have some fun too

but no, game is not for fun game is for challenge and punishment only. not fun.

You don't need meta build to not die in maps. You just need build that is not a complete shit.
They were discussing the idea of not needing the XP penalty since they reduced the amount of portals but they also said they will give more portals for pinnacle content in the future.
Personally I'd be surprised if they get rid of the XP loss on death but it's not impossible. I was actually surprised when they mentioned it because they were 100% against it for poe1.

With all that being said I can see it's too much for quite a few new players and I get it. They give you infinite chances with no xp loss during the campaign and BOOM! You're dead, bye bye boss

I don't die in maps, even. My slow-ass, janky warrior I'm abandoning until GGG unfucks that part of the passive tree and actually plays some warrior in endgame, gets through just fine. I just dislike the pressure it puts on you to never make a mistake or else you die.

Plus all kinds of other annoyances like "getting pushed 3-4 screens across by the ball of gigaspeed breach monsters who can't kill you but also won't let you get a single attack off because you don't instaclear screens" which is super duper mega fun.

Believe it or not you can survive and clear maps just fine and still hate the 1-death mapping decision. Something I've yet to see from all the "JuST doNT Die" responses that are all unique and original and indicative of great critical thinking skills.
