One Death Maps is a monumental failure.
"Noone talked about being such a good gamer nor did they try to convince u that they are on a professional level. All that was said is the game is ez enough for the average experienced poe player. Problem is with this type of game u need to put in a fair amount of hours to fully understand the depth of many mechanics and how to adapt them to ur build and playstyle. In poe 1 even people with 1500-2000 hours of gameplay still might feel like a novice and in most scenarioes probably only scratched the surface of all the different mechanics and how they fit together. Poe 2 did actually simplify/dumb down many of these sometimes convoluted mechanics to make it more accessible to the new players but this doesnt mean the game will be more casual and ez Last edited by MrPedez#4934 on Jan 23, 2025, 9:06:20 AM

" Not explicitly, but when the default response is "git gud" or "your gears sucks", without actually knowing how bad the player or the gear is, that's implicitly what they are saying. People can barely agree on what the "average poe player" is, but the "fans" sure are quick to become obnoxious on whatever topic that opposes their views. " polls means shit or they would have to make it lke at logging and not in forums or any social media. Also ppl disagreeing on forum is pretty commun a far that i would call a war :D |

I posted this in one of the other threads on the topic, but seeing as this in turning as something of a megathread, i ask you to excuse this repost

" Completely negates the fundamental selling tagline of the game which is "Features Co-op for up to 6 playesr" when right now, the game does nothing to facilitate party play and it actively hampers you even. Enemies become so hard they can easily OHKO you worse than they already can with just a bad modifier on a juiced waystone. None of my friends want to run maps because they're scared of dying and losing so much progress. I have to build a juiced up super defensive tank that has only just now at level 81 got to the point of being able to clear effectively, everything up until now was a complete slog to get through as I kept having to stack defenses, defenses, defenses every single upgrade just to mitigate the extreme punishment the game keeps trying to dish out. That's not fun. That's not good multiplayer. |

"Well i agree it does sound patronizing and offensive when said like that but there is a bit of truth in the bad attitude. Problem with a game like this is it takes many hours to understand and give a fair review/feedback based on previous experience and understanding the different mechanics, on top of this the game is not balanced properly and atm some mechanics and defensive options are just way better than others. So if u have no previous experience or knowledge you might not detect these imbalances and just blame the game when in reality its all about adapting ur build to a different set of defensive layers untill they eventually do a balance update. This has more or less been the norm in poe 1 and every league something changes and u have to adapt again which is kind of why many of us love the game. Just so u know, GGG is very well know not to do balance updates mid league unless some broken mechanic is causing server issues or not working as intended, changes will come with a league/server reset and a fresh economy Last edited by MrPedez#4934 on Jan 23, 2025, 11:13:18 AM

" thats exactly what i suggest, right smack dab in the middle of the log in screen. look neither side is going to back down on this issue. its going to continue to escalate. we have already seen this play out with helldivers 2. devs choosing to die on a hill because Vision TM. and how well did that got for them. reviews tanked. people were pissed. hell im pissed off too. I CANT EVEN ENJOY MAPPING WITH MY FRIENDS!!!. one of us die then what?? tell your friend sorry you have to sit this one out OR forfeit time and investment because why???? seriously in what universe does this make sense? not to mention it WILL kill off build diversity. its already happening. everyone is migrating to the same overpowered builds exploiting all the same mechanics and then trying to tell everyone to get gud. dont delude yourself. your not a gamer god sitting high above the plebes flexing your uber skills. then lets add in horrible lag spikes some users are suffering from in what is a zero tolerance system. i can go on and on and on. one portal maps are cancer. |

" Sure, but they will make you believe it's always the case, then ignore and ridicule any possible nuance. It's entirely fair to blame the game to have improperly balanced mechanics when equal investment is made. The issue is that ES works much more like life than armor or evasion, and that is the fundamental problem. I know that's how they operate when it comes to balancing updates, and i always thought that was the worst thing they could do, because when something isn't addressed in the update, you know for a fact it will take another 3(4,6) months to get fixed, if they even address it at all. L take.
PoE 1 is where you belong if you want zero defense 6-portal gameplay. They're already adding more portals to lower tier bosses so people can learn the fights, which was the only downside to one portal. Any other problems are balance issues (like armour sucking) that can get ironed out over time. Last edited by battlecarrier#2128 on Jan 23, 2025, 11:01:10 AM
