You should sort by "lowest max hit" not by EHP, because a character with 2k life and 90% evasion will still have very high EHP even though he dies very easily to degen or hits Lowest max hit means basically whatever your lowest resistance is, which in normal case is always physical. Full armour stacker life builds dont even have half the physical hit HP of a ES lich if you sort by lowest max hit you will see that every ladder is dominated by ES, 0 life builds in the top 100 | |

We really need to normalize discussing class balance relative to the content we actually have to do in the game. All I ever see people talk about is player-to-player comparison but, like, we don't have to fight each other...
I think we all know that players stacking high ES have higher EHP but what GGG does with that information depends entirely on which of those two defensive strategies is actually providing the intended experience - the right level of challenge and a reasonable pace of progress. I'm running a pretty basic ev/ar build right now with 25k EHP which I think I've just learned is "jack shit" and yet I'm having an absolute blast. I'm 38/40 pinnacle passives and have cleared up to wave 13 in T3 Simulacrum for the last 2 points... not only did I have more fun getting to where I am right now in 0.3, but I'm super excited to get those last 2 points. Meanwhile if I was walking around with like 80k+ EHP right now I feel like I would be so fucking bored. Like what is even the game at that point? Just click on monsters 'till orbs come out and repeat until I get sleepy? Then I guess I come on here and talk about how there's "not enough to do in the endgame?"
