Speed is too heavily rewarded
What they need to do is boost base movement speed for all classes by about 150% then replace movement speed modifiers on boots to be a default 35% on every pair.
After movement speed has bren brought up to what it should be you're already half way to fixing the franchise back to filling the niche of the only fast-paced action-packed arpg on the market. If people want slow and tedious, literally every other arpg caters to that already. PoE should remain PoE. |

" if you boot up any D4 streamer rn and compare the mapping / dungeon gameplay to poe2 the only difference is the lootfilter sounds . It's really sad what POE2 engame has become its literally 1 button screeen wide clearing like in d4. This is not what i call redefinding the scene. |

" Exactly my point. PoE2 is just another generic arpg, nothing differentiating it from every other arpg on the market. PoE1 is unique in what it offers and PoE supporters deserve more PoE, not another generic arpg! |

" I agree completely -- which is why they are in a state where both parties are unhappy. Especially as this new vision is seeming much less popular overall. People who don't know GGG are surprised all the time by everything.. None of us really are, they have been pulling the same exact stuff for the past 13 years. " You know I kinda feel where you're coming from, but as a long term player I must confess -- I feel almost none of that. I just know enough about the game to know that if it's too hard and you want to SSF past a part of the campaign grind out 2 extra levels. It's like 30 minutes time and less effort than failing a boss multiple times. I've had very few of these issues with the game being anything but very easy. But I had 6 years experience when 0.1 launched and most of it translates :) SJay i'm level 33, the zone is level 34, that means the boss is 34-35 -- do I feel underpowered? Then level then boss. I don't need to see the boss to know if i'm underpowered in any capacity, be it lacking damage or just survivability. These things are pre-determined and solved before they even happen. That's what it's like for an experienced player playing POE 2. It's a non event. Last edited by Rakie1337#5746 on Oct 4, 2025, 5:31:30 PM
