Speed is too heavily rewarded

What they need to do is boost base movement speed for all classes by about 150% then replace movement speed modifiers on boots to be a default 35% on every pair.

After movement speed has bren brought up to what it should be you're already half way to fixing the franchise back to filling the niche of the only fast-paced action-packed arpg on the market.

If people want slow and tedious, literally every other arpg caters to that already.

PoE should remain PoE.

if you boot up any D4 streamer rn and compare the mapping / dungeon gameplay to poe2 the only difference is the lootfilter sounds .

It's really sad what POE2 engame has become its literally 1 button screeen wide clearing like in d4.

This is not what i call redefinding the scene.

Exactly my point.

PoE2 is just another generic arpg, nothing differentiating it from every other arpg on the market.

PoE1 is unique in what it offers and PoE supporters deserve more PoE, not another generic arpg!

Dude, I totally get where you are coming from. And I would be upset if the developer showed something they promised and didn't deliver. But this https://youtu.be/0VZsq_vJjGk?si=N2gQqeZZe3rsCOSS is what us new players saw. And this is still up on the page dude! This was what we were expecting when we pressed submit for whatever we chose to pay to support these guys. How is that okay!? That trailer is 5 years old and was an announcement. This is literally the store front page video that people are paying for people are buying this game RIGHT NOW under the impression that this is the combat they should be expecting. They don't show a single instance where there are more than 10 enemies on the screen! If a single other person buys this game early access right now expecting this video and getting something else, HOW IS THAT OKAY!?

Okay I take the number of enemies thing back. There are a few moments where they are melting low level white mobs.

I agree completely -- which is why they are in a state where both parties are unhappy. Especially as this new vision is seeming much less popular overall.

People who don't know GGG are surprised all the time by everything.. None of us really are, they have been pulling the same exact stuff for the past 13 years.

the game does not have meaningful combat, it never has, that was a marketing lie.

POE 2 is even easier than POE 1, it's insane.

IMO the game is weird. League start is painful as you scrounge up garbage off the floor and desperately try to get any build that isn't LA or Minions working.

But once you get a good weapon in early maps, even just via trade, like 80% of the difficulty just evaporates and you can remove like half your skill rotations and just focus on a good 1-2 combo.

You also don't really have a choice. Like that crazy 5 skill combo that takes 8 seconds to setup might work in the campaign against some zombie hoards but it will absolutely not work on 60 coked up breach monsters that move at the speed of sound.

You know I kinda feel where you're coming from, but as a long term player I must confess -- I feel almost none of that.

I just know enough about the game to know that if it's too hard and you want to SSF past a part of the campaign grind out 2 extra levels. It's like 30 minutes time and less effort than failing a boss multiple times. I've had very few of these issues with the game being anything but very easy. But I had 6 years experience when 0.1 launched and most of it translates :)

SJay i'm level 33, the zone is level 34, that means the boss is 34-35 -- do I feel underpowered? Then level then boss.

I don't need to see the boss to know if i'm underpowered in any capacity, be it lacking damage or just survivability.

These things are pre-determined and solved before they even happen. That's what it's like for an experienced player playing POE 2. It's a non event.
