Something is terribly wrong with Shaders since 3.27

Either get with the times or zip it. OP's CPU is literally a quad-core from 2014, and their GPU is a lowest tier budget card from 2016. Even a $40 GTX 970 - Edit: scratch that, same price nets you an RX 580, which is even faster - beats that thing with double VRAM and nearly double the performance. Here, check the relative performance chart and see for yourself. And you can get even better cards for barely more.

Most games these days prefer at least 6 core CPUs, which most are now anyway. Even manufacturers literally do not make them anymore above low budget tier. That's what that is. A Ryzen 5500 is a 6C/12T CPU for very low cost and high value (best value CPU as of 2025). I recently bought mine for my encoding machine for $73 brandnew (used would be less), tax and shipping included.

It's all excuses and excuses upon excuses. I was homeless once, and I lived in poverty for quite some time afterwards, so I know it's not that. We wouldn't be having this conversation otherwise. A PC is a novelty item. Expecting a now <$100 PC from a decade ago to offer unproblematic performance in 2025 is, quite frankly, idiotic. So, whatever other excuses you got going on, the game is fine. It's the potato PC that needs to get out of the gutter and upgrade a few things. Simple as. Doesn't even have to be expensive, like I've said before.

Not upgrading hardware from over a decade ago isn't a matter of "strong opinion", that's a basic intelligence check. The refusal to admit that the problem may not be the game is honestly just laughable at this point.

It takes a special kind of arrogance to not even consider another person’s experience.Your Mom must love you at family dinner.

And what about the people with good PCs that have also commented on all these threads? Do they also need to buy the newest 4000$ video card and 1000$ CPUs?

"Just upgrade bro" is not a solution here, because the game's shaders are clearly broken. Its not affecting everyone, but it is affecting a lot of people. Not only that, but there are other threads about game crashes and so on on certain hardware. Its clear this patch broke a lot of stuff.

I live in a random-ahh EU country, I'm a NEET. And my PC was built in 2019 with the best parts that could be found here. The game ran perfectly fine 1 patch ago, its the game. If I'm gonna be getting a better PC, its gonna be by just getting it as a gift kek

Like not everyone just has infinite disposable income and access to PC parts all around the world. Exchange rates of currency are also a factor if you don't use the big ones like Euro or $ where you live. This makes the cost 2x or more for some people. And some parts are not even shipped to certain regions, so we just gotta use what we have.

Do you not think all of us would have gotten a PC with optimal powerful parts if we had the ability to already? And that wouldn't help anyway, even people with streamer PCs are having issues. Its just affecting random people with all kinds of setups.

Anyway Bump, hope they do some real optimization in 3.28 just like the CPU stuff they mentioned that they did for PoE 2.

Driver support has ended for a range of video cards. That's your final cue to upgrade.

Nvidia GeForce app always has a new driver every month or so even on my gtx 1050ti, so I have no clue what you're talking about. Everyone gets the same video drivers lol, also this whole "support has ended for X,Y,Z OS/hardware" excuse can't be used to cover up bad optimization. All other games run just fine, mysteriously this 1 patch bricked PoE for me.

And yes, updating to the one from nov 4th did improve load times a little bit, but shaders are still clearly broken. They take way too long, when before this patch shaders would take literally a few seconds to load for a map.

Something is wrong with shaders. I don't even get why games use this stuff, just load everything in the loading screen like it used to be? This real-time loading is just super bricked.

Also I am nooot buying second-hand PC parts or entire PCs even if I could lmao, that's just a recipe for disaster. It has to be brand-new.
bump fix vulkan
BUMP
Vulkan still broken on intel, heard same issue on poe2 too. also think got even worse stability with last patch .0f
