Honestly the "point" of this thread's existence would be rather funny....if it wasn't such a depressing insight into our culture as human beings.
We are playing a leisurely game. We are told an event is coming. We are already told that patch notes will be coming out before the event. There has never been a time that patch notes DIDN'T come out. Ever. And yet people still feel the need to immediately and repeatedly ask "when". The patch notes will be out on the day that they come out. You already know that is sometime between the 1st announcement and the event start. You don't need to know anything else. At all. You aren't going to be "planning" for days You aren't going to be using all the numerical data provided You aren't going to CHANGE anything you are already planning on doing all of a sudden (barring a massive game-breaking nerf, which is unlikely in an event). They linked the Phrecia ascendancies in the message for a reason. Because they are unlikely to fundamentally change, only balanced. You certainly aren't going to be using much of the information and "planning" in the first 6-10 (or likely more) hours of the event itself. Have some decorum and patience and freaking WAIT. Okay color me surprised. Its an actual base contagion.
Remember what I said about brute forcing a bad skill is not really a proof of anything? That is still in effect. Post both pobs. Lets see how easy it was to do. Lets count the invesment and see if it wasnt something ridiculous. And then tell me how any of this should serve as proof to counter the following: Contagion is not designed to be a dps skill. Frostbolt is 50 percent dps of a real skill for no advantages of its own. If you have a template that carries a bad skill this hard then you can plug in a real skill for several times the performance. Or conversely just use a real skill and spend several times less on gearing. You showing me some ridiculous expensive setup does not make me wrong about these things. And stop repeating about the moving the goal posts cause I am not sure you know what it means and in fact for me to accept the non evidence you provide to dismiss my clearly stated points would mean you yourself moving the goal posts so your non evidence starts looking like evidence. Do you expect me to ignore and accept you moving the goal posts cause you are accusing me of doing it too? Seems to me that you are engaging in blatant gaslighting. If the initial argument would be me disagreeing that you can brute force anything to work then your provided evidence would be on point. But it was not the argument. POE2 should be the ruthless vision experience and POE1 should be the zoom power fantasy sandbox to capture both audiences. Celestriad has gone beyond what is a reasonable expectation of another forumer. You are making a wild claim, demand other people to prove it for you, invest time and resources for you, and you still have the audacity to be like "but that doesn't count".

What I said about contagion initially has not been disproved whatsoever. Base contagion is 1/10th of real dot skill designed as DPS. So I rounded its DPS down to 0 cause irrelevant DPS numbers are basically same as zero to me. At this point I retain serious doubts he leveled with a base contagion or even that his template was intially designed to play a base contagion. This can be short and simple - he needs to drop the POBs and they will do more to substantiate things than the crumbs that are being dropped and empty talk. Do you want to league start basic contagion and grace the world with a base contagion SSF zero to hero video? No? Then abandon this farce. We all know that contagion is not a dps ability. Contagion I didn't even want to discuss, you just insisted frostbolt was a support ability like contagion which is nonsensical and whatever is going on right now does not make it less nonsensical. Whatever this is - its not a debate and it is you who make it not a debate by dragging the discussion on irrelevant tangents or taking things out of context and then "debunking" that instead of engaging with the actual point which is being repeated to you for days. I tell you frostbolt is designed as a DPS skill and significantly underperforms compared to up to date abilities. I tell you cracklance is designed as a DPS skill and significantly underperforms compared to up to date abilities. These are at least real DPS abilities. Wanna waste your Phrecia league start on them? Why not? Cause you would lose time padding a bad ability and no one wants to lose time. Even less in a trade setting where it will mean losing the competition for popular gear cause you farm slower than someone who picked a serious ability. And that means these underperforming forgotten abilities are essentially dead unless somone really bored picks them up. The game is lesser for it. I also constantly maintain that the game is not too easy like you claim. Someone like you having learned the game to an extreme degree and/or willing to farm easier content for an unhealhy and mind numbing amount of time to assemble an expensive setup that will carry even a poop skill through content is not an indicator that the game is too easy. It is an indicator that the game is too easy for a player like you. How the difficulty of the game looks for the remainder of the playerbase? 20% complete the campaign. 2% beats normal maven. If we dismiss everyone who doesn't beat campaign as "not serious players who shouldn't count" we get 1 in 10 people beating a Maven. Still doesn't seem like people are having too easy of a time. And all that is before mentioning uber content. So the game is neither properly balanced or too easy. And I grow really bored of the same mental gymnastics your pull out each time trying to argue this.
