How does GGG plan to make money?

My suggestions for cash shop

-bigger inventory.
-Separate inventory for orbs
-separate inventory for gems, like a gem bag or something.

Only been playing a few days, but the tiny character inventory space has been getting on my nerves. Especially the clutter of currency items and gems.

-Cash shop only characters

-Instanced player housing, used for displaying trophy gear and grandfathered characters. Could even sell various monster spawns to populate the outside of the housing, making custom instanced zones.

-Pets, I don't like useless cosmetic pets. I'd rather see combat pets that you can level and equip with skill gems. Sure, it's a bit of an advantage, but they would still be available in game through trade.

-Purchase the unlocking of all the waypoints in your current act. Bit of an advantage, yes, but could be disabled for competitive leagues.

Honestly everything in the game is fine now, If you're full on inventory, portal scroll back to town and sell the items.

Pet is a idea that mostly everybody wants, a combat pet would be really nice help in Hardcore mode at the start.

Purchase the unlocking of all waypoints? you serious? totally spoil the fun , then what's the point of having such a big map.

The way this game will earn money is by having tons of donations, cash shop doesn't mean anything in this game, I don't wanna see another game that's like PWI/AeriaGames that would be disappointing.

they kno wut they r doin
Lemme say this. Many people know everquest and everquest 2. Now, everquest 2 had a card game called 'Bla bla bla'. We could see that which cards cost like 10$ a deck and maybe just MAYBE u got a co mount or glowing hands item for INGAME everquest. Same could apply. Play card game AND maybe get ingame items. Believe me when i say thayd be huge chunk of revenue.
I think these devs have a good head on their combined shexoulders. Keep up the good work fellas. As long as the playing field is level, I will endorse it.

ps, love the idea of custom housing areas/trophy rooms.
ive probably paid more for LoL skins than ive ever paid for a boxed game, and i feel like riot earned every penny.

if this game lives up to even half our expectations GGG will do just fine.

people could donate the money they make after selling all their sad blizz gear on the RMAH and quitting that travesty. (less the 60$ recoup of course)

skins might seem silly at first, but if they get team PvP...
I just hope that they wont implement any stuff that might harm the way PvP will be played, for the rest I would totally be fine paying for cosmetic changes !

This could be a good idea. You get few armor and weapon stands with house and you can buy additional stands. On higher levels you could buy cages for super tought unique monsters you killed. It's all cosmetic and doesn't give you any advantage in game.

How they make money? Duh!
They open a sheep farm to fund PoE of course!

can't be, there are, sadly, no sheep in this game. yet. there is a secret sheep farm level?

on the other hand:
ggg made millions by saying: "donate money if you like this game and want us to improve it further, you can get some stash tabs and a kiwi for it now and maybe later the option to show your support by getting visual improvements for your character."

in open beta this changed to: "buy our shiny visual improvements when they're on sale and so make the most out of your money. thanks for your support."

the first strategy had the advantage that spending money freely doesn't include he right to influence the way the game goes.

the second strategy has the disadvantage that people get the impresssion they kind of bought the game. including the right to get something for their money. you get people with claims awareness who feel they're entitled to get a functioning game with their beloved features. because they paid for it. and they're right. hurry, hurry, stash tabs are on sale only today!!1
don't like that direction, it maybe gets them more money but you get the wrong people into your community.

on a related note: why isn't there the option to spend more than 20$ per transaction just on points?
age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

I miss that option too, not sure why they took it away.
