T17s are still an overtuned mess that are also annoying to roll
First of all let us use every currency on them, let me scour them if I want to lol
Second, they need more nerfs. There are still some insanely bs mobs in these maps like the stupid lightning robots that are reskins of shaper-influenced mobs that just SPAM those lightning balls and they deal insane damage, they instantly oneshot my totems so I have no chance to deal any damage to them, how is this fair????? I just lost 4 of my portals in a Fortress map WITH SCARAB OF STABILITY because a stupid goat rare kept jumping on me and oneshotting me at the very start, I try to run away from it but then influence procs and the influenced mobs kill me. Died again to a random rare goat that jumped on me because it spawned from a strongbox :) And so I lost my last portal to random act 10 templar mobs that also deal unreasonable damage, at least I killed the boss before that but hoooly these maps are cringe. They need way more nerfs and a complete rework, bosses shouldn't even be affected by map mods, delete ALL valdo mods off the maps and put the bosses in a seperate loading zone so they don't have map mods, and make the resurrect checkpoint inside the map so I don't have to waste portals dying to the boss like the Ziggurat one which has the unfair "slam the whole arena" mechanic and I always just die every phase when fighting her. The keystones on the atlas were better, I prefer an on/off switch for uber bosses than whatever these maps are. It was also better for the economy because boss fragments cost more currency, so bossing and map boss-rushing strats like spamming Mesa were more profitable. And I will keep re-bumping this post any time I have a bad experience in a t17. Or just randomly. Until GGG finally fix T17 maps. My only incentive to run these maps right now are for challenges. I don't care how rewarding they are versus T16, they're still too far cracked for most builds to run without significant investment. Even my 200div+ CI trickster flicker struggles in them. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.
Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! MFers found strength in their Afflictions. They became reliant on them. I am not so foolish. |

My biggest issue with map mods in general is that a lot of the mods target your character and remove stats from your build. Reduced stats are fine to a point, but removing crit/aoe/regen/leech/armour/evasion gets to be a little much with how common they are.
And also the generic damage increases aren't interesting. The monsters do act the same but occasionally they will kill you. I like mods like inhabited by fanatics, twinned bosses, etc, more because they fundementally change the map layout. Not everything has to be about drops because drops suck atm. Especially if you aren't running some %mod effect stacking setup. |

And what you call "unreasonable damage" is probably a mild tickle to someone who's build a character meant to handle T17s. |

My effective hit pool is 17k, yet I can do 6/7 uber bosses on this build but t17s are cringe. That means yet again they've failed at what the purpose of t17s was, a "bridge" between ubers and normal endgame. "Hurr durr just build defences just copy paste everyone's hc ssf meta build and do the boring checklist while having 500k dps and being tanky" isn't a solution to this problem. There are also still the cancer build-bricking mods which for some reason weren't removed when they removed some mods from rolling on t17s. "Just play a build with max suppression,max res" etc. etc. isn't an answer, because any build that isn't close to any of those suppress nodes and that can't use evasion gear just can't do that.
